How many holds is the max? Ours is 20 regular books plus 10 ebooks. (My husband lets me use his account so I can request double that.)

Since I use my husband's account too I can take out 100 books and make 40 holds. Our library counts ebooks separately, so I can check out another 35 ebooks on my account. I've actually had 100 books checked out at once, well, a lot. I usually have at least 90 (real) books checked out at once. (Plus a few ebooks)

It's Amazon that won't make the Kindle compatible with the software that most libraries use for ebooks (Adobe Digital Editions). Doesn't make sense as you can read a PDF on a Kindle, right? It's just an economic thing most likely- they don't want to make it easier to do something that will cost them money. After all, if you can borrow a book, why buy it? Amazon has been saying that they plan to make the Kindle compatible with ADE, but they've been saying that for quite a while and it's really just a simple software upgrade.
