Susan | 682 comments 25.1 "Chestnuts" Read 2 books from the same genre:

I read 2 books that I classified as "chick lit".

The Late, Lamented Molly Marx by Sally Koslow (a GoodReads Author).

As Husbands Go by Susan Isaacs.

Both also had "death" as a factor in common. In the first, Molly Marx died and in the afterlife is trying to figure out how she died. In the 2nd, the story is told by Susie, who's husband dies in a situation that is controversial, and she is trying to find out who really killed him.

I really liked "Molly Marx", but the other one was just okay.

B. Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman

Moonstruck Madness by Laurie McBain features a heroine named Sabrina who dresses up as a man and thieves so that she can support her family. She also sword fights, can wield a gun, and can kick just about any man's ass. While this maybe no be so weird for our time, this book takes place in the late 1700s.
