20.5 "Bigger is Better, and Larger than Life"
Djibouti by Elmore Leonard*
*This is a work of fiction. Dara Barr, one of the lead characters, is an independent documentary filmmaker. In the book she travels to Djibouti to make a documentary about the modern-day pirates in the region. She does not shy away from danger or the more nefarious elements during her stay so I would definitely consider her an unconventional woman.
20.6 "The Twenty-tens"
Einstein's Monsters by Martin Amis**
**I was born in the 80s. This book was originally published in 1987.
20.7 "Christmas Fuzzies…or Not"

I'm not a fan of TV background noise on all day when I'm trying to read, but I get really peeved when it's left on and no one is even in the "room". I read:
Room by Emma Donoghue

I really loved this book and enjoyed the TV restrictions in the "room" and the connections to my pet peeve in that regard. Thanks for the chance to fit this book in and congratulations to new finishers. Thanks for the quick posting of those great 25 point tasks!

Book B – When I added the digits of my phone number I got a number four and so I read Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

30.7 -- Emily Kate's task -- Forever Young
I read Envy by Anna Godbersen (Romance and part of a series) 405 pages and The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd (Mystery and stand alone) 336 pages and I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore (Sci-fi, series) 440 pages
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/33...
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11...
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/77...
Each of these books is considered YA because they are aimed at an audience between 13-21. Envy is a romance because it deals with the complicated romantic engagements of young women in early 20th century New York. The London Eye Mystery deals with the disappearance of a young boy and is obviously a mystery and I Am Number Four deals with a group of teenagers who have come to earth to hide after their planet was destroyed and so is sci-fi.
