Dionisia (therabidreader) | 329 comments I have completed the following tasks:

20.5 "Bigger is Better, and Larger than Life"
Djibouti by Elmore Leonard*

*This is a work of fiction. Dara Barr, one of the lead characters, is an independent documentary filmmaker. In the book she travels to Djibouti to make a documentary about the modern-day pirates in the region. She does not shy away from danger or the more nefarious elements during her stay so I would definitely consider her an unconventional woman.

20.6 "The Twenty-tens"
Einstein's Monsters by Martin Amis**

**I was born in the 80s. This book was originally published in 1987.

20.7 "Christmas Fuzzies…or Not"
The Girl with Glass Feet by Ali Shaw***

***I love the holidays so read this tragic love story. Also, Ali Shaw is a Goodreads Author.

Eilymay (eilisislocajustlikecocoa) Here are all the tasks I have managed to complete:

5.3 -- Starts With...
I read The Leavetaking by John McGahern

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/21...

20.4 Author! Author! Tani's task- Game On!
I rolled a six and so I read Girl With a Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2865

20.5 Bigger is Better: Ashley FL's task as suggested by Stesse- Bigger is Better, and Larger than Life

I read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert who I believe is unconvential through the way in which she abandons her ordinary life for a year of travel

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/19501

20.6 Seasoned Reader: Beth F's task- The Twenty-tens

I am 18 so I read Splendour by Anna Godbersen – many of the main female characters such as Diana Holland are between the ages of 10-19

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62...

25.2 - Emily IN's task - Thank You Moderators

Sandy’s 2010 books – I read The Help by Kathryn Stockett (who is a Goodreads author)

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/46...

http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...

Kristi’s 2010 books – I read Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/43641

30.4 -- Donna Jo’s Task -- By the Numbers

Book A - My birth year ends with an even digit and so I read Room by Emma Donoghue (who is a Goodreads author)

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/79...

http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...

Book B – When I added the digits of my phone number I got a number four and so I read Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6334

30.7 -- Emily Kate's task -- Forever Young

I read Envy by Anna Godbersen (Romance and part of a series) 405 pages and The London Eye Mystery by Siobhan Dowd (Mystery and stand alone) 336 pages and I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore (Sci-fi, series) 440 pages

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/33...

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11...

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/77...

Each of these books is considered YA because they are aimed at an audience between 13-21. Envy is a romance because it deals with the complicated romantic engagements of young women in early 20th century New York. The London Eye Mystery deals with the disappearance of a young boy and is obviously a mystery and I Am Number Four deals with a group of teenagers who have come to earth to hide after their planet was destroyed and so is sci-fi.
