Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments After reading (and loving) the book that the nice people at Scribe sent me Miss Kopp Just Won't Quit, book #4 in the Kopp Sisters series, I just had to go back to the start. Luckily my library has them all, so it was great read Girl Waits with Gun by Amy Stewart to learn a lot more about Constance Kopp and her sisters.
5★s and I'm looking forward to Lady Cop Makes Trouble

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments A couple of great reads!
The Lost Man by Aussie author Jane Harper is a terrific standalone Outback story and mystery.
The Lost Man by Jane Harper My review of The Lost Man

A new favourite author is the late Lucia Berlin. Her much acclaimed A Manual for Cleaning Women: Selected Stories is full of unforgettable stories and characters. Loved it!

Donna Thanks to Better Reading and Allen and Unwin I received a copy of The True Story of Maddie Bright by Mary-Rose MacColl

Here is my review.
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I would recommend reading it but did find it a bit long-winded at 500 pages!

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments Thanks to the good people at Allen & Unwin, I got to read the sequel to Hangman, a book I really enjoyed. I think Jack Heath did an excellent job on Hunter: it might just been even better than Hangman. I'm waiting (impatiently) for the answers to the riddles, though: I didn't manage to figure all of them out.
And if your sense of humour is as dark as mine, don't read it in the quiet carriage...

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments The Death of Murat Idrissi by prize-winning Dutch author Tommy Wieringa is just a quick read, but dark, powerful and thought-provoking.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments As I now have three books of the Harriet Blue series sitting in my TBR, I thought I would get the prequel, Black & Blue by James Patterson and Candice Fox out of the library. I found it a bit clunky.
