Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments I quite enjoyed this Kindle freebie, To Kill A Critic, a short story in Michael Leese's Jonathan Roper Investigates series. The protagonist is on the autism spectrum, so always an interesting read. I wouldn't mind reading the three full-length novels in the series, but my library doesn't have them :(
5★s for an excellent dose of British crime fiction.

Deb Omnivorous Reader | 1929 comments I just finished The Binding by Bridget Collins.

It is in many ways a really good book. I found it disappointing though and only gave it three stars.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments I finally got around to Jeff Lindsay's last Dexter book, Dexter Is Dead. The series was getting a little tired, so it's probably fitting to bid Dexter Rest In Peace, because, as the title suggests, at the end of this one, Dexter is, indeed, dead. A bit slow, so only 3.5★s

Kerri_M | 589 comments Just finished The Old Balmain House by AA Graham Wilson.

I wanted to love this book, as it ticks a lot of good boxes for me, family history, Australian settlement, local history, a mystery, but while I enjoyed it, it just missed the mark a bit for me, ★ ★ ★
