The True Story of Maddie Bright by Mary-Rose MacColl by Mary-Rose MacColl

I gave it five stars, I enjoyed every moment of reading it, the historic sections were great and the intricacy of the plot impressed me.

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments Aussie author Peggy Frew has a new novel out soon, Islands, and the cover says it all. Individually or grouped, we're islands (as is one of the settings, Phillip Island).

Krystal (krystallee6363) | 2304 comments Rubdown by Leigh Redhead was just as kinky as the first book. Not my thing at all but since I won them I'm trying to get through the series so I can then donate them all together.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments Well, having just finished Lady Cop Makes Trouble by Amy Stewart, I've now read #1, #2, and #4 of this series, and I have #3 on reserve at the library. These are great historical crime fiction, and I hope we don't have to wait too long for #5 (with whatever clever title that one has).

PattyMacDotComma | 3297 comments Does My Head Look Big in This? is a Young Adult book that I'd be happy to recommend even for some pre-teens. Aussie author Randa Abdel-Fattah writes about an Aussie Muslim teenager wanting to wear a hijab to school in spite of her parents' worries. YIKES!
