37628 Starzee, let me know if Born of the Night is good. It looks interesting.

37628 I put some ideas up for different realm/universe in the first post. A lot of people get confused over what constitutes a different realm or universe. Just because vampires or other paranormal creatures exist in our world in a book, that doesn't count. Also, it can't be something that could be a possible future for our world (IE - Kate Daniels). It has to be something where the world is completely different. Eragon and Lord of the Rings are the two that you'll probably be the most familiar with. They're completely different worlds, not England with a magical place called Hogworts that is hidden from a lot of humans.
Hopefully this will help.

Questions? (16 new)
Sep 07, 2010 09:14AM

37628 3) Can we make an extra thread where we can post what challenges we're participating?

I just made a thread called I'm Completing... You can post challenges that you're working on and strike them out when you've finished them. Just remember, you can complete most of the challenges more than once if you'd like.
Sep 07, 2010 09:11AM

37628 This is where you can post the names of the challenges in which your participating. This way you can remember what you're working on, cross out what you've finished, etc.

37628 How was Clockwork Angel Ginny? I'm trying to only read a chapter a day.
Sep 06, 2010 12:59PM

37628 I had a teacher assign the Irving Stone book my sophomore year and it's one of 2 books I actually read in high school rather than skimming. Although, I'm a bit obsessive with Michelangelo.
Sep 06, 2010 10:32AM

37628 The Agony and the Ecstasy A Biographical Novel of Michelangelo by Irving Stone is historical fiction

Michelangelo and the Pope's Ceiling by Ross King -non-fiction

Those are 2 of my favorites at least. There are a lot of other books to choose from through.

37628 I already finished this in Delerity so I'm going to start all over again. It should be fun.

37628 2) Do reread books count, too? Or can we use the books only we haven't read yet?

It's up to you. Although, if it matters for the challenge I'll post it at the beginning with the explanation so that you know there is a specific rule for that particular challenge. What matters to me is that you're reading. It's still reading even if you know the ending.
