Thursday 4th April -- Off manana early for back east (wedding) -- Home on Monday, so you may or may not hear from me over the weekend. It's supposed to pour buckets beginning tonight through Saturday. I do wonder what that will do to the flights -- oh well, when there's nothing I can do about it, why worry? It's tough not to worry, though, so you have to distract yourself. Worry leads to stress leads to bad crap, so avoid it as best you can. Distraction really is the key -- doesn't matter if it's a book, TV, the movies, washing the dog or car or husband/wife, anything to occupy your brain. Being with another person is a big positive if you PROMISE not to bring this up, okay?
THE SIXTH DAY is out on Tuesday! It seems like it's been forever, but it hasn't. This book had a very short lead-time. It's getting golden reviews, which is splendid -- I can't wait to hear what you guys have to say about it. There's a cool graphic up right now on Facebook -- I hope you got it.
Today, you're going to stretch and turn and arch your back and lean from side to side and after your muscles are toasty warm, lean over, fingertips aimed at the ground. Don't push it, just do a bit a day, do not bounce -- get nice gentle movement in your back. And after cardio, stand in front of a mirror, arms bare, and do rolls, 3x12, slow, really slow. Watch yourself and critique --

April 4, 2018

Wednesday, 4th April -- Yep, here we are on the pinnacle of the week, what a climb Monday and Tuesday were but we're on the top now -- and how to celebrate? How about first of all getting rid of all the "other stuff" staring at you, making you feel guilty? Then, guilt-free, you so do something fun to reward yourself -- Consider making this a habit -- work/reward -- and you're golden.

Outside, all of you (still snow?) All right, if snow, then it's gotta be inside or the gym, BUT, it's critical after you reward yourself for doing the "other stuff" to CARDIO. Why? It will get your endorphins soaring, you'll pump/run/jump/climb off those pesky reward calories and finally, think of your gorgeous quads, not to mention butt. Sound good?

April 3, 2018

Tuesday, 3rd April - No snow here -- but I do remember one Halloween when it hailed, left 2 inches of white all over the ground. I don't believe anyone tried to make a hail angel, but I could be wrong, this is California, after all.
Today is a big work day and other stuff as well. There's always other stuff, just sitting there, waiting, waiting, and you think about it and try to walk away but it's simply no good. Why do we procrastinate on "other stuff"? Big sigh -- all right, all right, I'm coming, other stuff.
Today, it's legs all the way. So walk those stairs, SBB, gut in, chin in, and big smile -- Walk critters twice as long (this will really make them lick your face off) -- don't forget to stretch before you start your leg stuff -- No, this isn't classified under "other stuff" -- this is for your body, solely for your body, and don't ever forget that you've got one body and there will always be other stuff.

March 22, 2018

March 22, 2018

Thursday (already!) 22nd March -- I see from photos you've posted the snow is thick and more coming and it's supposed to be bloody Spring. What have you guys done back there to bring this down on your heads at the end of March? (I hope your wickedness was fun).
The third Grayson Sherbrooke novella, THE ANCIENT SPIRITS AT SEDGWICK HOUSE, yes, it's done and in, BUT decision made not to bring it out until the Fall. Why? Because it would interfere with all the other books coming out, you know, advertising, contests, and so much more, sorry my brain doesn't want to add more specificity at 7:00 a.m. I'm disappointed, but alas, I do understand. Big sigh.
Yesterday I got a hot-off-the-press copy of THE SIXTH DAY. Let me tell you guys, it's not only gorgeous, it's FAT and gorgeous. Being so fat, there's more space between lines so it's lots easier to read. Still, if you're going to read THE SIXTH DAY on an e-reader, let me recommend you consider getting a copy of the hard cover and setting it on the middle of your coffee table -- yes, you're going to show off what fine reading taste you have to all your neighbors and friends. Be prepared. They will see this awesome gorgeous FAT novel and ask if they can fondle it. The answer to that one is up to you.
DO SOMETHING. MOVE -- doesn't matter if you're snowed in and you have to shovel snow -- when you're all curled up in front of the TV eating popcorn, watching the blizzard from a safe distance, DO SOMETHING. Leg lifts, arm rolls, stretches. If you have a bike, hop on and go. (but only after you finish off the pop corn)

March 21, 2018

March 21st Wednesday -- Hey! The novella went in yesterday -- the ebook will be out in a week or two -- I'll keep you posted. Oh yes, the title is: The Ancient Spirits at Sedgwick House -- Think of Egypt millennia ago --
Happy First Day of Spring Yesterday -- yeah, so I forgot, but thanks for the reminder. Lots of you have ideas about killing some off in their dreams. Would you have to be dreaming as well? And focus on that person to kill them -- that would be "lucid" dreaming, right? I've never tried that. Do you think it's possible to go into REM sleep and control what's in your sub-conscious? And how would you kill Putin (let's say, he's a popular choice) -- would you dream up a Glock and shoot him? But would there be a bullet hole between his eyes the next morning? Or simply the appearance of a heart attack? This is all fascinating. Oh yes, who's read Nemesis? It had something like that --
Minions are primed for discipline unless you take care of your bod today and work it out -- a broken wing? Work out the legs and the other wing. Leg problems? Work out upper body and stretch -- there's always something you can do. You'll find it also relaxing, relieves stress if you've had lots of bumps -- give it a shot -- keep me posted --

March 20, 2018

Tuesday, 20th March -- Several of you brought up an interesting point: There are people who "die in their sleep." Could it be they really die in a dream? A pity one could never know if, for example, if Putin was found dead (killed by me) in his bed. And that means he'd have been. By me, from thousands of miles away. Hey, could that be a book plot? Shiver my timbers.
Did everyone LOVE the video for THE SIXTH DAY? (Goodreaders: you can see it on my Facebook page) Has everyone pre-ordered a signed copy? Has anyone ever seen a better more exciting advertisement than this video? (Beware if you don't think it's the best)
Okay, didn't finish the novella edit yesterday, BUT TODAY, for sure.
I hope everyone worked out hard yesterday -- if you have certain physical problems, why then, you WILL NOT sit around and feel sorry for yourself, please don't do that -- move what you can, lift weights if you can, light ones, of course, and use the stretch band. But always, guys, ALWAYS, do something to let your body know it still needs to move for you, okay?

March 16, 2018

Friday, 16th of March -- Look at that gorgeous banner on the top of my Facebook page -- if it's not on your feed, take a quick trip and ooh and aah -- Everyone get their newsletter? If not, don't forget to let me know, all right? ReadMoi@gmail.com.
Yea! I sent off the copy-edited PARADOX (22nd FBI thriller, out July 31st) to my editor -- talk about a lot of work, the copy editor(s) -- I'm not sure if one or two or three -- did a fantastic anal job -- I guess they're all Virgos. I'm trying to finish edit on the novella today, then no demands for a while , only looking forward to THE SIXTH DAY coming out. Have you pre-ordered your signed copy?
End of the week and I ask you, wasn't last Friday yesterday? Fast, too fast, but it is Friday, so a day to finish off all your work, all your projects, all your chores you've been putting off (for no good reason) and don't forget, ALWAYS END THE WEEK WITH A ROUSING CARDIO SESSION. Do not forget to walk stairs, walk the driveway four of five times, walk the critter through the neighborhood or a hike in the woods -- critters love the woods, so many strange and wonderful smells to investigate. Remember: SBB --

March 15, 2018

Gorgeous Thursday, 15th of March -- yes, today is the Ides. As I told you in the March newsletter, do not mess with the Ides, they're sneaky and totally without a sense of humor.
Did everyone get the March newsletter? If not, email me at ReadMoi@gmail.com. This one's very cool -- why? There's a video for THE SIXTH DAY -- you've got to see it. You might begin jumping up and down you'll get so excited. Or not. I've watched it maybe a dozen times, and yes, I did a couple of jumps. So, no newsletter, let me know right away.
Today, brave and committed bod lovers, you're going to do something different. If you're used to say the bike or the tread mill or walking up and down the driveway (once the snow is cleared off), change it up. Do a diff. cardio -- but the big thing, and all of you know it -- be consistent, do your workouts every single day (well, maybe except Saturday, a day for fun with the family) -- don't forget, SBB --

March 14, 2018

You should be getting my March newsletter today or tomorrow -- if you don't get it, email me at ReadMoi@gmail.com, okay? Lots in the newsletter and it will hopefully make you chuckle.
Several of you mentioned how hard it is to wake up in the dark again -- I'm with you, it's a huge bummer, but on the other hand, extra light at night is also cool. Anyone got any ideas on how to make it light on both ends? Talk about winning the Nobel Prize.
I have a friend with panic attacks. Who can recommend what meds to lessen the effects (like getting close to freaking out when getting on an airplane or landing in a new place)
This morning Supervisory Exercise Minion Cletus from Nebraska called me, said he was going to have to make some house calls, to "goose" (his word) some of you to climb back aboard your bikes or put on your sneaks and pound the pavement or simply climb the stairs -- Now, I'm not sure what Cletus means by goose, but I'm thinking you really don't want to know. Move your bod, rev your heart, make your muscles work -- for heaven's sake, one life, one bod -- don't settle for less than the best you can make it --

March 13, 2018

It's raining in beautiful Sausalito, greening up the hills nicely (greener, actually) so all is good in drought-land.
Still working the three projects, one to the next, to the next. All is good, progress is being made. I'll tell you, though, the copy-edited manuscript for PARADOX (22nd FBI for this summer) had so much crap in it (little irksome mistakes, name problems) -- shocked me because I'm always so careful -- but the better the copy editor, the more crap he/she finds, so thank you, copy editor.
Did all of you work out yesterday, give it your all on CARDIO? Do some arm rolls, stretch, leg lifts? If you punked out on me, I'm calling Cletus, the big bad minion from Nebraska. You do not want Cletus knocking on your front door. So do your exercise, do not whine, whistle a bit when you get your breath back -- all is good --
