December 21, 2022

Wednesday, 21st December -- Off manana really EARLY to Florida -- it's going to be on the very cool side and isn't that a bummer when I was looking forward to capris and flip flops.
WEEK 16, NFL FOOTBALL PICKS
l) Chiefs over Seahawks
2) Vikings over Giants
3) Browns over Saints
4) Bengals over Patriots
5) Bills over Bears
Games are nearly all on SATURDAY -- so maybe you'll have some time in between eating, playing with a zagillion kids swarming in your house and wrapping last-minute presents.
I wish all of you a wonderful Christmas -- lots of laughter, lots of joy and gratitude to live in this glorious world

December 20, 2022

Tuesday, 20th December -- Getting closer, closer -- Announcement: Here are the winners of the Grayson Sherbrooke Novella sweepstakes: 1) Carol Forbis (2) Kathy Littman and (3) Carol Seas. CONGRATULATIONS: You'll be sending in your home addresses but I fear since I'll be gone until after Christmas you won't receive your prizes until after the new year.
The Warriors beat the Raptors and now tonight it's the Knicks. A bit of silent prayer would be good.
It's very cold here, I kid you not, and it'll be cold in Florida on Christmas. (what is going on here?!) so no capris and flip flops.
All sorts of errands and appointments today and tomorrow -- so my spirit will search you out -- let's walk.

November 1, 2022

Tuesday, 1st November -- Good bye Jane and Oliver and all the other Halloween friends, time for pumpkins of the Thanksgiving kind. No trick or treaters last night, but then again, we never have any, the driveways WAAAAY too steep and what parent wants to trudge up for a pay off that might not even exist despite the happy pumpkins gleaming in the kitchen windows?
I hope all of you had a grand time.
I'll post WEEK 8 NFL picks Thursday a.m.
Today believe it or not, it's RAINING -- well, just a little bit, maybe enough to get the dust off the tree leaves.
Cool here today, high of 56 degrees -- please more rain.
Those of you who wondered about the Halloween quilt -- I saw it in Victorian Trader catalog.
Outside, outside, sing to the beautiful ski, breathe in the Fall air -- it's a fine day, don't waste it

October 27, 2022

Thursday, 27th October -- Okay, okay, so I told you I was going to make my 5 NFL picks then flip them. well, I did on some of them.
Here are Week 8 Picks:
l) Ravens over Bucs (Yes, I went against the GOAT for the first time ever)
2) Eagles over Steelers (sorry, Steelers)
3) Dolphins over Lions (Tua is looking really good, this is his shot)
4)Titans over Texans (this is for J.T. -- she's a Titans fan)
5) Bills over Packers -- (Ain't nobody going to beat the Bills)
Everyone write down your picks and don't forget, if you team isn't among my 5, then delete one of mine and add yours. Ready, Set --
no go just yet --
Work, outside, clothes and bedding here and ready to be changed over -- what a fun thing to do, all these new things I've forgotten about.
If possible, include your body with your spirit and and have a great walk/hike.

October 25, 2022

Tuesday, 25th October -- Great day coming up, change-over Spring/Summer to Fall/Winter -- trips to storage for the 9 big boxes (clothes and bedding) -- a pain but it's such fun to see stuff you've forgotten you even had. Do any of you have change-outs?
So, to date in our football pool: 16-19 -- not entirely horrible, gotta get better. Here's what I'm going to do: I'll make my picks, then flip them. We'll see what this does -- sigh -- what about you guys?
Work today, as usual -- Another huge edit -- it's amazing, I can edit a scene/chapter three times then read it again a couple weeks later and look at all those new things that need changing. I know you have to stop, but it's hard not to keep diddling.
I'll see you all in spirit out on a beautiful Marin County trail --

August 2, 2022

August, 2nd August: TODAY is the DAY -- I hope you all enjoy RECKONING -- now here are the rules: If by some freaky reason you do not like RECKONING, you keep your lips zipped. If you really like the book, I would recommend a sandwich board, front and back, and a brisk walk through your neighborhood, but preferably your town of a bit of your city -- yes, I know it will be hot, so you'll need to have some planning -- or grit, you want lots of folk out to see your sandwich board (if, of course, it's merited.) And enthusiasm, you want lots of that when people ask what you're doing.
Warm today, high 72 (according tot Alexa) lots of sun and a great hike's going to happen.
First day out: I have good feelings about RECKONING. Let's see --

July 21, 2022

Thursday, 21st July -- You remember the Zoom interview I did the other day, KILLER WOMEN? Okay, it's going to be posted in the next couple of days, the host told me,. The complete title is AUTHORS in the AIR -- "Killer Women" -- if anyone's interested. I'll post each zoom interview as they come up.
Another set of relativos coming in about 8:00 a.m. -- and yes, I'm right this minute baking some chocolate croissants --- there are three kids. It is great to see everyone. and to hear their impressions of the area. They're visiting a houseboat of a friend of ours, helicopter ride, and I don't know what else.
All goes well, high of nearly 70 today, lots of sun and even as we speak the fog is beginning to burn off Sausalito. San Francisco is still socked in. Walked through Sausalito and the houseboats yesterday -- so many visitors -- all happy -- and most eating ice cream and strolling by the Bay. Perfect day. I'll post a photo of a new ferry -- but yet again, Facebook isn't letting me send the phots here -- we'll see.
Out and about today, folk -- if you can only walk fifty steps, that's great, just move as much as you can. If you're a big 5-mile hiker, make it so. All is good.

July 20, 2022

Wednesday, 20th July -- Great day with family from Connecticut yesterday, including a home-baked rhubarb/strawberry piece that was delicioso -- here I am focused on food, sorry about that, but it was really good, and don't forget the French Vanilla ice cream on top. As opposed to the really hot weather in the rest of the country, it was a high of 68 degrees yesterday. They were so pleased to be wearing sweaters.
All is good -- Had a zoom interview yesterday (remember, Reckoning is out on the 2nd) -- people are so nice. I forget the name of the podcast, I think if's KILLER WOMEN, but I'll make sure and let you know tomorrow if it's different. You might enjoy it.
Another cool San Francisco day, can't complain, not like out family in London, but that's now back to normal, who suffered for three days. Today is back to a high in the seventies (that's what Alexa just told me) So huge sigh of relief all over Europe I'll bet.
It's a lovely hike today, make it early if you're roasting today, or late, but you have to move, work your muscles, swing your arms, SBB -- and do a hop and skip every once in a while. The world is a beautiful place so pay attention while you're walking. A pet? Excellent? A friend? Just as excellent. Have fun --

July 19, 2022

Tuesday, 19th July - Lots of stuff coming down today -- family here, yipes!, zoom interview, questions to answer, photos to take -- I'm tired.
Okay, today's a full day and I'll now stop whining. It's also sunny and gorgeous, which is good because later family wants to go hiking -- out to the beach along the ocean trail I'm thinking. Not too tough and awesome scenery.
Everyone outside, early if you're roasting where you live, or at sunset -- and please take photos for me.
All is good on this lovely mid-summer day.

June 15, 2022

Wednesday, 15th June -- Off tomorrow very very very early (yikes!) -- and I do hope this means there's no problems at airlines, I mean this should be about the first plane out, so how can they screw it up? Ha! I'll be off the planet until the 27th -- so I wish everyone a great June, and don't forget the 21st, the Summer Solstice -- the usual activity is to put on a white robe, rope sandals, make a small fire in the middle of the woods, turn your phone to some Georgian sort of music and chant happily. Sound like fun?
Newsletter -- you should get it maybe today, but tomorrow for sure. If you don't get it, your server is screwing with you so first check your spam, If it's not there either go to catherinecoulter.com and sign up, it's easy, I swear, or email ReadMoi@gmail.com and my right-and -left brain assistant could send you a copy.
Don't forget, it's summer and that means NO bat wings, fit bod and a big smile. It's a great world, the sun is shining (with lots of you it's shining way too hard) -- so if that's so, then you walk/hike early in the morning. Just think of starting the day with the virtue oozing out of you.
See you the end of the month -- Stay safe --
