Friday, 12th November --I'm an idiot -- I wasn't thinking of Veterans Day when I posted yesterday morning. So let me do it now -- Thank you to all of you. Without your courage and dedication we'd be in a very sorry place today, even we were even here.
Week 10 CC NFL picks:
l) Bucs over Washington
2) Browns over Patriots
3) Rams over 49ers
4) Cardinals over Panthers
5) Bills over Jets
Congrats to the Dolphins for beating the Ravens last night -- an amazing game.
It's Friday, people, and you know what that means, right? It means Thanksgiving is not that far away now. I already have some basic stuff, ordered a good amount as well (including a honey-baked ham).
Today is gorgeous here and I hope at your house as well, which means a joyful walk around your favorite place. Don't forget to stretch and smile -- Happy Day today --

November 11, 2021

Thursday, 11th November -- What a great morning, sun's shining bright, it'll be a high of 65 today and I can't wait to skip, hop and dance down one of the trails we've done at least a dozen times already, but who cares? It's all gorgeous -- but I do admit, being by the Bay or the ocean is the very best.
Reckoning is roaring forward, the ideas of how to solve everything are pouring into my feeble brain -- this is such fun. I want to finish the rough draft by the end of the month, then a month to clean things up and voila -- it's off to the editor. All digits crossed, okay?
The Warriors won last night, they're now 10-1 -- ah, but Friday, it's Chicago Bulls and they're pretty hot right now. We'll see.
Who prefers basketball over football?
Thursday Night Football: Ravens vs. Dolphins -- I guess I'm going for the underdog Dolphins. (not one of my 5 picks, just for fun.) I don't think they have a prayer, but maybe my cheering will motivate them (although I doubt it'll give them any more talent). I'll post 5 picks for Week 10 tomorrow.
Everyone, up and at 'em this beautiful day -- Go forth and make yourself happy.

November 10, 2021

Wednesday, 10th November -- What a glorious day this is going to be. A big smile on your face, please, even if you're eating cream of wheat (yuck) because lunch will be coming up and if you've planned it or if you're very lucky, you can have TACOS. If anyone tells you fish tacos are wonderful, you just smack them in the head and move right on. They're lying. After TACOS, you're going to go waltzing along a lovely trail by a lake or in a park or in your neighborhood (or someone else's neighborhood) and you've going to trot out that big smile whenever you see another human being. And never forget, who you are and/or what you are, a big smile and a kind word go a long way.
Things in RECKONING are coming down to the wire, everything is converging and it's going to be a biting fingernails moment. I hope.
Go forth and take on the day with a full heart and that big smile.

November 9, 2021

Tuesday, 9th November -- I really enjoyed all your descriptions of what you like to make/eat on Thanksgiving. Lots of you said stuffing -- I'm with you on that, cornbread with pecans, onions, sausage and spices and celery and cut up cranberries to color. I'm going to be trying some of your favorites.
It's RAINING -- during the night and now -- this is wonderful, don't mind at it all all.
I'm close to hitting the wham wham denouements for the two plots in Reckoning -- it's always exciting, moves very fast, so much happening, such huge danger -- slow down heart, slow down.
If it's not doing bad weather at your place, get your perfect selves outside and do a thank you rain dance from me.

November 8, 2021

Monday, 8th November -- those of you who went with my picks -- I'm sorry. 2-3 for Week 9: New Orleans lost, Buffalo lost Las Vegas Raiders lost -- Chargers won and the Arizona Cardinals won. To date I'm 29-15 (or thereabouts)
I hope all of you had a GREAT Sunday -- I'm so predictable during football season, boring, I can hear you saying, and I guess you're right. The Warriors won last night too -- beat the Houston Rockets, but now there biggies are coming.
Today I'll do a bit of reworking on a very cool, very important scene between Kirra and Griffin -- talk about fraught.
It's a gorgeous day, high about 61 degrees, which is perfect for moi. I'm thinking it's ocean trail walking again -- and will it be cold by the water? We'll see.
Don't forget now -- you stretch really good before you head out, with your favorite minion by your side, keeping you walking smartly forward. Can you believe Thanksgiving is in two weeks, well a bit more, but close. We're having turkey and honey baked ham, all the sides that are so wonderful, my favorite sausage cornbread stuffing. Which is your favorite stuffing? Or side dish?

November 7, 2021

Sunday, 7th November -- Mea Culpa (yet again) -- Yep, I mistook the chargers for the rams. So, here's my teams and picks:
l) New Orleans over Atlanta Falcons
2) Las Vegas Raiders over New York Giants
3) Buffalo Bills over the Jacksonville Jaguars
4) Los Angeles Chargers over Philadelphia Eagles
5) Arizona Cardinals over San Francisco 49ers
Phew! I have them all correct now -- be sure to write down your teams/picks.
Yep, Cantina yesterday and yep, taco and well, yes, an enchilada. Mama was very happy. Didn't walk because it was supposed to rain and that's never fun, so no walk and NO RAIN EITHER. Or I exercised virtue and did 50 minutes on the bike.
Eli snuggled all night, his head on my outstretched arm. Is there anything that makes you feel fuzzier?
Football all day and Christmas present wrapping -- yep, got lots more because I'm a sick puppy.
Great Sunday and remember, you gained an hour last night, so right now, for me, it's 7:56 a.m.

November 5, 2021

Friday, 5th November -- Mea Culpa! I said the game last night was between the Colts and the Giants. I saw NY and I thought Giants, not Jets. And indeed the Jets did get shellaced by the Colts last night. Tonight it's the Warriors vs. Pelicans -- believe it or not the Warriors are 6-1. Amazing.
I'll post week 9 picks tomorrow and Sunday morning, okay? To be honest, I haven't looked at the games yet -- I know, I know, I'm not holding up my end.
Great hike yesterday. Today? Don't know yet where we'll go. Another beautiful day, the sky was had pink slashes over it at sunrise. Sorry, I wasn't fast enough to get a photo.
It's Friday which means, tonight, you'll plot yourself down on the sofa with a book, a glass of bubbly (that'd be good) or turn on the TV and watch the Warriors -- celebrate another great week on our incredible earth.
Out you go today, I'll be watching and so will the exercise minions.

November 4, 2021

Thursday, 4th November: Just for fun, pick the winner for tonight's NFL game: Well, it could be one of your picks, but it ISN'T MINE, for me, this is just to have a team to root for so I pick the Colts over the Giants. Now, you never know when the Giants will show up -- will this be the game?
Have you ever awakened in the morning and just laid there for a minute and thought Isn't Life Grand? That's how I've been feeling. We all have aches and pains and obligations and stress and people we have to deal with we'd like to kick in the patoot (one of Sean Savich's favorite words), but at the bottom of all of it, we feel wonderful to be alive and to be part of everything. And every day we're on this earth, we're living through history, good, bad, crappy, wonderful -- we're in the middle of it. And that's fun and exciting and aggravating -- and think, Isn't Life Grand?
Lie on your back, and slowly lift your right leg as high as you can, then lower it to the floor and repeat with left leg. Hand on your stomach to feel your abs working. Before you head out for your daily walk, bend to the right, to the left, arms over the head and back down, and bent forward, then arch a bit -- warm up those muscles, then hit the road.

November 3, 2021

Wednesday, 3rd November -- Congratulations to the Atlanta Braves -- they played amazingly last night, won the World Series 4-2 . Ah, tonight is the Warriors against the Hornets. Come on, Warriors, make my day.
I hope many of you remember Griffin Hammersmith -- he's been in maybe six thrillers in the FBI series -- Well, he's in Reckoning, and you'll never guess what happens. Oh, goodness, I do want to tell you, but it's forbidden --
Great walk by the Bay yesterday -- supposed to be in the 50's, but it wasn't, even by the water. It was warm and sunny and everyone was out dancing and prancing, getting ready for their slay ride on Christmas Eve. Did nearly two miles. I'll take it.
Don't know yet where the hike is today -- the water is always so lovely, we'll see.
Everyone send your iphone photo to your iPad then it's easy to send it to Facebook (Meta) -- don't forget only ONE photo at a time.
Tris and bis in the mirror today -- roll arms back twelve times, then forward -- repeat SLOW until you feel the burn.

November 1, 2021

Monday, lst November -- goodness me, November already -- down with the Halloween decorations this morning and up with Thanksgiving. Gloomy early morning here, we'll see what happens later in the day.
WEEK 8 NFL: Every single team I wanted, really wanted, to win yesterday, didn't. So, Arizona lost, Bucs lost, Browns lost, Bengals lost and ONE YEA -- Bills finally beat the Dolphins, so I'm 1-4 this week. To Date: 27-12. All those of you who went with my picks, I'M SORRY, I'm a loser picker and deserve to have my credit card cancelled. Eli commiserated with me, purred against my neck -- it was sweet but didn't really help. And after that amazing grand slam, the Braves blew it (Not that I'm really for either the Braves or the Astros) it's just fun to see such an outstanding play rewarded.
Out, out and away today, to the park, all over the neighborhood, to the mall for a three-mile window shopping experience. Whatever you do, get in ten thousand steps. Does everyone have a step monitor? If you don't, ask Janet about hers -- it's good.
