Wednesday, 13th October -- Don't you just hate waking up and it's STILL DARK! This morning was the first time and now it's all downhill from here, and much much worst come November 7th. Sigh, winter, no getting around it. Okay, it's stiff upper lip time, for the next six months.
Sherlock is working hard, but these bad guys aren't dummies. What will happen? It's really getting exciting -- I don't want to tell you any more because it would be a spoiler.
Tomorrow morning I'll post WEEK 6 NFL picks. One of my picks will be the Bucs vs. Eagles -- and you know I'll always go with the Bucs, so they're my first choice. I'll post my other 4 pics on Saturday.
The sun's up and it's bright and beautiful and wouldn't it be wonderful if only it had arrived earlier -- okay, I'll stop whining. It'll be sunny here today and in the mid sixties. How about you?
Let me walk with you in spirit today -- If you don't walk, then my spirit will know and let me tell you the level of depression is severe, so don't let my spirit down.

Tuesday, 12th October: Post your very best Halloween decoration photo -- the one I like best gets a free book (alas, it has to be one of mine). Sorry if you've already posted, please do it again. I was slow getting my brain focused on this.
Work today as always, getting hairy and exciting You're not going to believe what Sherlock does. What's even better is the ending for one of the plots (who was behind the evil machinations since I had so many options) -- it simply appeared in my brain at 8:00 a.m. yesterday morning and I just jumped up and fist pumped. Yep it's perfect. Now I'm humming with pleasure.
Have you seen Daniel Craig in James Bond? I highly recommend the movie.
Get your butts outside, no excuses unless it's raining hard. I don't care if you can't walk a good distance or even to the end of the street. Get out and breath in this marvelous earth air and just do what you can, all right?
Glad you like the photo of all the sailboats out to watch the Blue Angels -- what a show.

Monday, 11th October -- Week 5 -- my winners were Bucs, New Orleans, Patriots, Arizona -- Panthers LOST -- So, I'm 4-1 this week. To date: 19-4 Not bad, not bad -- How did you guys do? If you picked the Monday Night game, Ravens vs. Colts -- then report out tomorrow morning.
Fleet Week and the Blue Angels were doing all sorts of really scary stunts, made you suck in your breath on some of them. You'll see all the sailboats from the picture I posted on my Facebook page. They're always amazing. I've often wondered if they consider what they're doing like Russian Roulette, if there's that gut fear that time's running out. I hope not.
Today, work, of course, then a lovely walk, which one I don't know yet. High 60's -- sunny, gorgeous -- RAIN, we need RAIN!
Everyone, out with you, get those lovely bodies moving, shoulder blades back, and don't forget to stretch.

Today is JAMES BOND -- feedback from one of you -- Really liked the movie and Daniel Craig. Also, reviews are good.
Then it's a late lunch. No, not Mexican, it's a PIZZA -- you're going oh no, how can this be? The trees will topple, the clouds will fall from the sky, cars will drive themselves into the Bay. Nah, well, I hope none of these things will happen because there's no TACO SATURDAY today.
I predict a fine day for all of you -- lots of smiles when you meet up with friends or neighbors, when you eat some BBQ, and remember, this is the last October 9th, 2021 you'll ever have, so enjoy it.

Friday, 8th October -- I hope every one's got at least one pumpkin out, maybe he's smiling, that'd be good -- and post photos, okay?
Thursday Night Football -- The Rams with Matthew Stafford are good moving toward excellent. They beat the Seahawks -- Wilson broke a finger so the back-up QB came in -- Gino Smith -- I've never heard of him, forgive me, and he did very very well, a final interception, but it wasn't his fault. So those of you who picked the Rams as one of your five winners, you're off to a great start.
It's freaking Friday and you know what that means: First, if you have stairs, you run, jog, walk up and down at least 6 times -- until your heart is pumping faster. Next, stand in front of your bathroom mirror, clothes off, and stick your arms straight out from your body. to the sides, now roll back 12 times, then forward 12 times. Repeat 3 times. Keep your shoulder blades together, feel the strength, listen to the "thank yous" from your muscles. You don't have to strip down, but if you are, you can see your muscles working and that's cool. You must stretch before you go out for your daily walk. These three things or else the minions might drop in and they love to discipline.

Thursday, 7th October -- Goodness, Thursday already, but it also means Thursday Night Football. This game ISN'T one of my picks, but I'll be rooting for the Rams. I really like Matthew Stafford, so glad he's out of Detroit. He's doing really well -- we'll see tonight if he's on.
Several of you have told me the paperback of 1-5 Grayson Sherbrooke novellas is on Amazon, stated it'll be out in February. I went there and alas, didn't see it. Actually, I just approved the cover -- it is very striking, the colors are great -- wait'll you see it. If you can't wait the ebook of the 5th novella is out right this minute -- The Red Witch of Ravenstone Folly. Isn't that a cool name?. I'll tell you though, it's tough to come up with the same sounding, same number of words so all the titles have the same cadence -- if you have all 5 novellas, take a look at all the titles and you'll see how much I had to bend my brain --
Today I'll post another Halloween photo -- such fun.
Today, we're all joining arms and walking beautiful trails, all in spirit, but it'll work. I'll think of you guys doing the same thing I am this afternoon. We need a walking song. Hmm.

Tuesday, 5th October -- You saw the very nice graphic for the 5th Grayson Sherbrooke otherworldly adventure -- The Red Witch of Ravenstone Folly -- Yep, prepare to get your heart warmed. Do let me know what you think. Oh yes, another bit of news -- many of you have wondered when the novellas will be in actual print rather than ebook only -- It's coming, an actual book around the first of the year.
If you haven't tried any of the novellas, do read them in order -- it's more fun. The novellas are such a joy for me to write in between the "human" mayhem thrillers in the FBI series, they're very different and we're back in history, in 1841 England. You remember Grayson is the son of Ryder and Sophie (The Hellion Bride) He's a popular novelist in England, sort of like Stephen King.
So, have at it and let me know what you think.
Oh wow -- who saw the Raiders get trounced by the L.A. Chargers last night? I think Gruden must have given them happy juice during half time because they came out and played very well -- 2 touchdowns, then the happy juice wore off, and that was it. Sigh --
No walk for me today, other stuff to see to -- it's cooled off here, high today to be in the mid-sixties. That means my spirit will be with you on your own meanderings -- have fun for my spirit, okay?

Sunday, 3rd October -- It's football day! Well, for some of us and wrapping Christmas presents. This year is different for me -- no plus 300 gifts, nope, that's cut down to fewer than 100 -- it's GIFT CARDS. Particularly for the little kids -- I have absolutely no clue what to get them, but imagine, you're 6 years old and you have a $25 gift certificate to Amazon -- and your parents take you around the sites and you can get WHAT YOU WANT. And the adults -- who wouldn't want cash for a lovely meal out sans kids? I mean a lovely Mexican meal, just the two of you? No candlelight, but maybe a sombrero.
So what is your philosophy about Christmas gifts?

Friday, 1st October -- It really feels weird to write October -- it was just June and the OBX and where did August go? Hard to keep up with time, it's moving so fricking fast. It appears we're starting our Indian Summer here -- high today is 76 degrees, sunny, gorgeous at the water. Have you noticed on your walks when the weather is great and the sun is shining down on your head, everyone you see is smiling, happier than usual?
Eli gets to go to the vet today -- oh joy. He's a total wimp when he gets there, turns boneless, but he sees the carrier, and he KNOWS and he runs, catching him is a challenge. Don't worry, he's fine. All of us get a yearly check up, right?
The game last night -- I was pleased that the Jaguars did so well in the first half -- with Trevor Lawrence at the helm they just might get out of the losing loop -- everyone expects you to lose and you do and you keep doing it because everyone expects it -- we'll see.
Everyone, it's a grand Friday -- make the most of it -- do one thing today that you haven't done in a long time. Think a minute, you'll come up with something cool and needful.

Wednesday, 29th September -- I'll post Week 4 NFL games tomorrow morning for those of you who pick one of the teams playing Thursday night.
Great walk yesterday -- it was WARM down by the Bay, everyone out talking, laughing, breathing in the ocean/bay air, the kids romping with dogs -- wonderful to be outside plus we did TWO POINT FIVE MILES, down by the Bay and up on the ridge, a lot for me. Yeah, yeah, I know many of you are up there at five plus miles -- I feel you smirking out there, you can't hide. So guess what? More of that today -- how about you? More smirking? Our spirits can sing up Georgian Chants as we walk, swinging our arms. That sound good?
Sherlock is in deep caca -- What's going to happen? She always thinks of something, I sure hope she does again. (Stop worrying, she will)
