Tuesday, 23rd November -- The Bucs beat the Giants last night -- so for Week 11 I'm 4-1. To date: 34-20, which ain't great, but it's better than it could be given the disaster of the past two weeks.
Gotta buy some cranberries, sweet sausage and some celery for the corn bread stuffing, otherwise, all set. I love hearing what you guys are doing for Thanksgiving, what you're making, where you're going and whether or not you got your kids to do the cooking, and you, say, stop off at a High Cholesterol Factory and buy a lovely pumpkin cheesecake. That's the way to do it.
Today is, naturally, work, then a hike -- goodness, I'm a boring person, talk about doing the same thing every single day, but Thanksgiving is coming up so okay, a bit of writing, but NO hike, only football and eating, which all us can do with great enthusiasm given there are no calories, well, that's a nice thought. I know a couple of people who are "fasting" so they can pig out on Thursday and simply put back on the couple of pounds they'll torture off today and tomorrow.
Who has a library close enough so it's not a pain to go there? Who has a bookstore close enough so it's not a pain to go there?
Everyone, no slackerness today, out you go, move those legs, swing those arms and take some hops and skips and maybe even sing a bit, like anything from Adele.

Monday, 22nd November -- Can you believe it? Thanksgiving is THURSDAY and I'm all ready. How about you guys? From what you've posted, you are prepared. I hope everyone's gotten the November newsletter -- if not, email me at ReadMoi@gmail.com and I'll forward you a copy.
It's beautiful here today, which means lots of sun and in the 60's. But it would be so nice to have a bit of rain -- not greedy, but a bit, make it steady. A nice long walk today -- it will be necessary because I got some cool ideas about the endings in Reckoning I'll be writing this morning -- well, in a few minutes -- and a hike cleared the brain and puts things in perspective. Have you found that to be true when you're out working your magnificent bods?
The Warriors won last night, beat the Raptors 119 to 104, very good. They're still number 1 in the NBA.
I have the Bucs and the Giants tonight, but so far I'm 3-1. How are you guys doing or how did you guys do?

If you're not watching football today, guess what? Do I have another goodie for you -- The Warriors play the Raptors at 5:30 p.m. today. See that, you're loaded with options.
Or, if you're odd, then it's out into the beautiful sunshine for you (or the snow -- YIKES --) to get your blood moving, your muscles all warmed up and happy and if you're really lucky, I'll share my croissant with you -- in spirit, of course.

Saturday, November 20, 2012 -- Hi Ho -- a gorgeous day, incredible clouds covering San Francisco (I'll post a photo of it later) no, not fog, thick clouds like you don't usually see here.
Everyone, get your five teams posted: Mine are, Browns, Chiefs, Bucs, Saints (The Patriots won Thursday night)
It's CANTINA day, yep, nachos for sure, maybe a taco thrown in, always good to keep balance since a taco has all the food groups. Come to think of it the only thing nachos is missing is lettuce and tomatoes -- well, that means a taco for sure. You see, I always try to eat a good diet (Shut up, I can hear you smirking from here)
Today's a day of fun and yes, purchasing Christmas presents, maybe even beginning to wrap them -- who does Christmas cards? If so, how many? I'm trying for 50 this year -- I take a favored photo and make it into a card, really pretty. How about you?
Biggest thing you do today? Begin and end with a happy face --make that smile shine.

Thursday, 19th November -- Warriors beat Cleveland Cavaliers last night -- quite a game. Okay, WEEK 11 NFL:
l) Patriots beat Hawks -- Thursday night
2) Browns over Lions
3) Chiefs over Cowboys
4) Bucs over Giants
5) Saints over Eagles
Everyone, make your picks, remember, you can replace 2 of mine for 2 you prefer.
Supposed to rain RIGHT NOW -- it is very gray/foggy, but as yet no wet stuff and no wet stuff means a lovely hike this afternoon. How about you guys? Can you take your four-legged critter out for a nice long walk today?
WONDERFUL FRIDAY -- everyone stop what you're doing, right this minute and do a fist pump and say YEA!

Thursday, 18th November -- Okay, we have Thursday Night Football -- the Patriots verses the Falcons. This is my first pick, I'll post the other four manana. I choose the PATRIOTS over the Falcon. It appears Belichick has turned the Patriots around and Mac Jones the QB is doing very very well. You don't have to make this one of your picks, but you certainly can if you want.
You'll be getting the November newsletter today or tomorrow -- I do hope you get a chuckle and maybe think "That's what happens at our house."
Planning a lovely hike out to the ocean today -- nice and crisp and clear and yep, on the cool side, probably in the high fifties. But that's lovely when you're doing cardio (up hills). Even with chilly weather you get toasty. Are any of you like me? You simply don't sweat?
Reckoning -- I tell writers I've never been able to edit a blank page. It doesn't matter if you write crap, your writer's brain can now go to work on it. So I wrote crap yesterday and the brain went nuts. Alas, I'm still not there, so probably more "crap" today -- but that's okay, gotta make these scenes super exciting.
See everyone outside unless it's sleeting and hailing and thirty degrees. Snow? That's great to walk in the snow.

THE WARRIORS DESTROYED THE NETS LAST NIGHT -- the first quarter, the Nets led by a little bit, but by halftime, Warriors were a little bit ahead, then the third quarter, they took off. An Amazing game, and very exciting (well, not for the Nets or Kevin Durant) Curry shot 9 threes and the defense made mincemeat out of them.
Yep, you can probably guess I'm a gigantic Warriors fan.
Writing the first denouement scene for Kirra and Griffin -- yeah!
Everyone, get those muscles stretched out and hit the road -- a nice mile would be perfect. I'll be with you, as always, in spirit.

Tuesday, 16th November -- My second week of real embarrassment. Yet again, for the second time, I'm 1-4. The Rams didn't show up to the stadium last night and lost big. The only team that didn't let me down this week was the Buffalo Bills, thank you, Josh Allen. So, to date: 30-19. Again, if you used my picks, I'm sorry I'm such a dufus, guess I won't win first place this year, not that I ever have, but it's always a fond hope.
On the denouements of RECKONING, with the end to both plots in mind, well, sort of. As I've probably told you, I'm what's called a Pantser (a writer who writes by the seat of the pants) as opposed to a Plotser (a writer who outlines before writing), to which I always say when asked, how can I plot when I don't know what the characters are going to do? I guess it's maybe half and half amongst the writers I've met.
Today is gorgeous, in the sixties, a perfect day to head outside to a nice challenging hike, don't know where yet, but it'd be neat if I knew you guys were in your own place hiking with me (in spirit). Hey, maybe we can sing the Hitler song the GIs sang in WW2 when marching.

Monday, 15th November -- Oh dear, third week in a row the NFL teams have flip-flopped and yours truly has the third week of really bad results. Bucs lost, Browns lost, Cardinals lost -- YEA, THE BILLS DID WIN. Tonight is my fifth game, Rams over 49ers. We'll see. So far I'm 1-3. How did you guys fare? Those of you who went with my picks, I'M SORRY.
Gorgeous day today, fog thick this morning, looking like a beautiful impenetrable gray veil that will lift in a couple of hours and there'll be the world, all perfect and ready to be hiked upon.
Everyone, it's a brave new week with lots of promise and unexpected things to happen that will make you shake your head or smile and say Yea! -- Life is always a surprise, like that stupid box of chocolates, I guess.
Walk with me today, breathe in the wonderful fall air, think about Thanksgiving with your family and who's going to bring what to the nearly table-breaking extravaganza.

Sunday, 14th November -- Wild and windy outside and who cares? It's FOOTBALL! One last time: Bucs, Browns, Bills, Cardinals, Rams -- that's sure a lot of "b's" -- we'll see if there's going to be crazy upsets today, but you know, what's always fun. The Warriors play the Hornets late this afternoon -- they're 11-1, the highest in the NBA. It's so neat to see Curry healthy and happy and shooting phenomenally well.
So get your picks up and get ready to enjoy a football day. If football isn't your cup of tea and I know some of you out there pay no attention to it, well, then, whatever you're up to, have loads of fun. And yes, I have more Christmas presents to wrap.
