Tuesday 24th July -- Lovely cool day predicted but I'm going to be driving ten miles north where it will be in the mid 80's -- amazing micro-climates we have here. I do try to stick close to the Bay, what with being a reptile and all.
Did everyone get their July newsletter? With the lovely covers for PARADOX and the paperback ENIGMA? Gorgeous, both of them, but you know, I really really like ENIGMA -- I think if you look up "menacing" in the dictionary, that cover's right there. What do you guys think? And the photos of the kitters? No one said anything and Peyton and Eli are eagerly awaiting praise on their good looks and obvious charm.
Work today, as always and stuff -- always stuff that takes me on the highway to plot and try not to kill anyone.
How hot is it where you are? If too hot, then yes, stay in. BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN you sit on your duff and not make your bod happy. Do you have a stationery bike? If not, this is definitely what you want for your birthday or Christmas. The bike is made for hot days (well, you have to have a/c too) Be sure and do lots of stairs with SBB -- no paltry excuses, if you please --

July 20, 2018

Friday, 20th July -- The interview (podcast) was fun -- a male and female, one in Texas, the other in Oregon -- they wanted to talk about all the crap surrounding the FBI what they did what they didn't do, etc, etc, -- but I wasn't about to get into that. Focused on the actual agents, all those I've met want to do good and help keep us safe. They deserve huge respect and credit.

PARADE -- Some of you still read it in your newspapers on Sunday), but most haven't ever heard of the online version (like me). When I find out when the excerpt is to be posted, I'll let you know..
Dessert plates: No more than 8 inches, preferably 7 inches. Don't get too small, it'll make you mad and you'll still be hungry, so the key is, always, MODERATION. You all know that.
Today I have not one but TWO birthday parties here at my house. MEXICAN -- oh yeah, it's going to be great. I'm making the tacos (even frying the tortillas), enchiladas, both beef and cheese, chips, guacamole, beans and rice -- be still my dessert plate -- Lots of fun will be had.
And yes, late this afternoon (since I'll miss the gym) I'll hop on my bike and pedal like a fool for 40 minutes, then on the floor for exercises, mainly stretching and leg lifts, all that good stuff. How about you? How are you going to keep your perfect bodes happy?

July 19, 2018

Thursday 19th (Yikes!) July -- July newsletter coming probably today, hope you'll get some good laughs.

I really enjoying hearing about your thoughts about the future and what it will bring -- Good points. Do you think it's only the gadgets? Human nature will always be the same? I'd like guys to weigh in here -- is it men (primarily) throughout the ages who simply have to be lusting after, fighting, coveting, whatever -- for example,Tommy wanted what Joe had. Or the country of New Hysteria wanted the beautiful towns Old Serious had? No one agrees on anything on discussions like this, that I'm sure of. One thing never forget though: Cell phones today, letters yesterday, riding by horseback to deliver messages way back when -- and guess what? EVERY DAY IS MODERN.
Interview today -- should be fun. Oh yes, tell me, does anyone you know in the universe read Parade Magazine online? I ask because a) I never heard of it and b) they want an excerpt from PARADOX --
One of you talked about the dessert plate for dinner -- bad flab, bad flab -- yep, that really helps and shrinking your stomach, always a good thing. Today, walk, walk, walk -- and as you do, SBB --

Wednesday, 18th July -- I really like "flab sucks" -- what a visual.
For all you time critics out there, okay, okay, so it's not really 2918, but don't you sometimes wonder what the world will be like in that far off year? And those folk will maybe spend a few minutes studying us in school (will there be schools? or will knowledge somehow be inserted into the brain? painlessly, of course) and no doubt we'll be Stone Age people to them -- they used cell phones? Can you imagine? You have to carry these little things around and can't forget to charge them? And what does charge mean? Oh yes, I imagine it will be like we think of the 14th century --
So many of you have visited Times Square (No matter the year) -- it is amazing. One thing's for sure -- in New York, you know you're alive, no way around it, all the sights and sounds, the just plain constant NOISE --
I know you guys aren't slackers, which means not only do you have Shoulder Blades Back posted prominently you might now want to add Flab Sucks -- yep, really like that -- on the fridge? Remember, the key is CARDIO and one dessert plate for dinner (well, put food on the dessert plate, pile it up, but one plate, that's it) -- A wonderful day -- go forth and smile and maybe do a little dance, say hello to everyone you meet --

June 29, 2018

Friday 29th June -- What a gorgeous day here, in the high 60's, I believe, perfect for me. Lots going on -- working the butt off on LABYRINTH so I can do some playing (along with business) in NYC without guilt -- and what about this guilt business? I hear if you're Jewish, you have Jewish guilt. I hear if you're Catholic, you have Catholic guilt. Do I have protestant guilt? Is there also football guilt? Gym guilt? Tell me, please, tell me.

Gym today, as usual -- I trust all of you are saying that or are already out there working your magnificent bod, making it Friday-Happy, which is an excellent thing. Polish off the weak with nice strong warm muscles -- and is it popcorn and a movie tonight? Who's seeing Jurassic Park?

June 28, 2018

Thursday, 28th June -- Lots of sun here today. As you might know, we have micro-climates here -- it's going to be warm here today, high 69 degrees. Five miles up the road in San Rafael, it's going to be 79 degrees. You go east across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco to what I call Middle Earth, (so many highways, overpasses, you always get lost) and the temperature within 8 miles can go up to 30 degrees higher. Phew! The first time I drove out of San Francisco across the Bay Bridge (to learn more about this incredible area) went eventually through the Caldicott Tunnel -- it was 65 degrees in S.F. and 95 degrees in Walnut Creek. Phew! No thank you, too hot for my reptile blood.

All of you sound like you're having lots of fun, doing lots of stuff -- one good thing about vacations to a foreign place, or here, as well -- you WALK a whole lot, so you're getting excellent exercise. But you must stretch every single morning, do your leg lifts for abs -- and you're positively golden.

June 27, 2018

Wednesday 27th June -- I saw the short little post -- so were Mon. and Tues. posts simply swallowed by the great Facebook maw?
Mysteries abound -- I'm still trying to figure out the "second" mystery in LABYRINTH -- I want it to be strange and wonderful, something to make your teeth tingle --

It's already the end of June -- So where have you been this month? Or are travels upcoming? I'm off to NYC the 10th of July -- and that'll be fun and hectic. Seeing the new Broadway show FROZEN -- can't wait to see how they "ice" up the sets --
No, I never forget EXERCISE -- do what you like today, that is, which part of your bod really needs attention? DO IT --

Mullet -- hair style, fish and flag stars -- what a versatile word. Thanks for looking it up and giving great explanations --
Today is a day of madness and focus and packing (already done "mentally", which is, as you know, is 95% there) We leave manana at 4:30 a.m. and arrive in Norfolk about 5:30. Sunday, we drive to the OBX. We'll be having around 40 people -- same four houses, but guess what? A new addition: Liam Van Slyke, one month old and yes, he'll be there. Doesn't his name sound like a Ralph Lauren model? Or a sexy actor? Maybe the next James Bond. Well, we'll see. Congratulations to Noelle and Sean.
I'm sure you can visualize how many paper plates, plastic cups, utensils, napkins, garbage bags are used in the OBX -- and the most wonderful thing: Brother and sister-in-law own Bunny's, a restaurant/sports bar in South Orange, N.J. -- and they're bringing all that stuff so it's off our Sunday shopping list (which is HUGE) anyway.
So the rocket is preparing to launch today -- I want all of you to have a great week -- Oh yes, newsletter going out today -- if you don't get yours, go to my website and sign up there (https://catherinecoulter.com/catherin...) -- And do Not be slackers or believe me, the minions WILL know and you'll hear from them and that, you do not want.

June 14, 2018

Thursday 14th June: Oh dear, oh dear, smack me aside the head. HAPPY FLAG DAY -- TODAY (not yesterday). And oh yes, I forgot about the mullet being a fish, I was thinking about the American flag. The term mullet vis a vis the American flag don't ring any bells? Didn't for me but I knew you guys would clue in -- and you did -- to the frigging fish. The flag mullet is interesting, look it up.
I was thinking about discipline and realized you really can't succeed without it. For example, writing, dancing, accounting, preaching, exercise -- anything you name -- you have to be disciplined and discipline means you must do the activity at the same time every single day (or let's get real and say 5 or 6 days a week. -- I write 5 days a week and only on weekends when there's a deadline.) So if you want to have the chance to be great at your chosen metier OR if you want to have a fit healthy bod, then you must be disciplined and that means being scheduled. Never forget,l you control the horizontal and the vertical, no one else.
Go out there and kick big butt today -- Happy Flag Day -- finally -

Tuesday, 12th June -- Thanks for the review of Oceans 8 -- most of you liked it, but said the other ones (with the males) were better, particularly 11. So if I watch the remake of Oceans 11, I'll be set to see Bullock? And it'll be better?
Janice mentioned in her post that she had another reminder how super important it is to tell those you love, those to matter to you, how much you love and appreciate them -- every single day, well, you don't have to be sloppy, but some sign they're important to you. Don't get hit with feeling bad because you didn't show your appreciation -- I know all of us have had this experience at some point. It's tough to remember, but now, thanks to Janice's reminder, I'm really going to follow through and give out some hugs and love yous.
Yep, a minor epiphany for LABYRINTH -- I'll work it out today, keep your digits crossed.
You're going to get outside -- I don't care what you do, just GO OUTSIDE and wander about and speak to folk and play with critters and move, move, move -- SBB!
