Tuesday, 18th December -- So the Saints didn't give us another upset last night. But everyone else -- a wild, wild Week 15. GO BROWNS (I love Mayfield, wish him the very best). And the Bears overcame how many straight losses to the Packers? Trubisky is one happy camper. And the 49ers beating their nemesis Seahawks, and the Steelers beating the Patriots, who didn't show up. One of the biggies? The Rams lost to the Eagles -- amazing. So it's a free for all -- isn't that fun!?

Today is work of course, and more stuff (always stuff to be done, no choice, don't whine, it doesn't change anything) to do this afternoon. What about you guys?

Don't forget, you can move a finger, you exercise it. You can move an arm, you exercise it. Get the picture? Don't ever forget, you stop moving and your body stops. I lie to you not. Work about any physical problems, don't just give up and use it as an excuse. DO SOMETHING -- (all right, no more harangues -- at least until tomorrow)

Friday, 14th December -- Big Christmas lunch/party/gift inundation today. I can't tell you all the goodies to go dancing down to the stomach, my thighs would start pulsing.
I'm glad you're enjoying the Christmas photos -- I'll do some of my office now that all the gazillion presents have been mailed , goodness, it looks sort of naked -- and as for all the wrapped goodies, I pray, they'll all be delivered safely to their recipients BEFORE Christmas.

I have to confess: No gym today, but I swear on all our heads I will cardio this evening (during the basketball game. Warriors vs. Kings --

Thursday, 13th December -- The "Reveal" (isn't it cool what the publishers call showing off a new cover?) -- Now, when you guys saw the reveal of LABYRINTH (FBI #23, out next July) I got a volley of questions/outrage/confusion: "What?" "You mean The Maze?" "Sounds like it's a repackage". GOODNESS GRACIOUS, I am so very sorry. It never occurred to me there would be confusion between THE MAZE and the upcoming LABYRINTH -- actually, I never even thought of THE MAZE. So forgive me for being so Duh. Would I have not used :LABYRINTH if I'd thought of The Maze? I really don't know, I mean labyrinth is such a very cool word, calling to my mind all sorts of twists and turns and menace (Like the Minotaur and Theseus) So let me assure you that despite the similarity in the meanings, LABYRINTH is a very different thriller from THE MAZE.

Week 15 NFL Picks:
I'll be posting the 4 picks later today. Why, you ask? Because Kansas City is playing the Chargers, and that'll be one of my games. Do watch, as you know, it should be a great game.

Before you reward yourself with the football game, you've got to prove yourself worthy. Two ways to do it: finish off your Christmas present wrapping/decorations AND get your workout done with enthusiasm, a dollop of sweat and a general feeling of I feel great -- emphasis on upper body today (after CARDIO, always your very best friend) --

Wednesday, 12th December -- a lovely day here, high will probably be around 65, not bad at all. No mudslides, but enough rain, which is very lucky after that huge fire hit.

I've got an idea: All of you who have stairs in your house, train yourself that immediately when you take that first step up or down, your shoulder blades go back -- automatically. (I just realized I do that) So give it a shot, train your brain, probably less dangerous than training a dragon, although the thought of flying on a dragon's back -- can you imagine?

It's off to the High Cholesterol Factory today -- I strongly recommend the avocado rolls -- appetizer -- really, it will not travel immediately to your thighs. It will spend loads of time on your taste buds -- what a deal --

Big gorgeous Tuesday, 11th December.
Bigger Boo: Seahawks beat the Vikings last night, I mean really wiped the field with them, so, that makes me 1-3. Thank you, Chiefs, for keeping me completely out of the dirt. To date, I'm 32-24. That last-second Miami play was amazing. Can you imagine how players from both sides were feeling?
Work today, coming along, still not quite there on the second plot, but coming, coming.
All of you have great traditions, some really strange-sounding -- when you tell me about an odd family Christmas tradition, tell me where it comes from, okay? I mean chocolate gravy? Where?
Today, you're going to get outside and walk, walk, walk. If you don't have a critter, borrow one or walk with a friend. You really want to move. If it's below freezing, okay, you can stay inside, but that means up and down the stairs a gazillion times -- Keep baking and telling me about it so my thighs can pulse --

Friday 7th December -- I'll be posting a group photo of the authors at the Christmas party yesterday. Yes, the bubbly is always the first thing when each one walks through the door. Great food (ham, lasagne, scalloped potatoes, grilled veggies, 4 diff. cakes, a blueberry/apple pie) plus SS gifts -- it's always wonderful. We were trying to figure out if this is the 9th or 10th year. Isn't that freaking amazing? Also, two authors said they'd read a study that indicate people who curse have a higher IQ -- okay, you can imagine what happened next and from then on throughout the party.

Week 14 NFL picks:

2) Chiefs over Ravens (Interesting to see what happens without Kareem Hunt)

I'll repeat them tomorrow. And tomorrow is Saturday and you know what that means? Sleeping a big later, subject to hunger level of kitters.
Gym, guys -- if not, how about a gym membership/trainer for Christmas? Or free weights. You'd all better have a blue stretchy band -- and that's what you'll use today for your arms and your back. CARDIO!!!!

Thursday, 6th December -- What a lovely day this will be. Authors' Christmas Party -- champagne at 11:30, the minute you walk in -- an excellent way to start. Everything is very colorful -- will be loads of fun.
Thanks for sending Christmas tree photos -- so many beautiful trees, and all unique -- You're really making this hard on me to pick. MORE, please --
Today, being Thursday and all, and you're not quite sure what's important (since it's Thursday), then I'll tell you. What's important is CARDIO -- 30 minutes, guys -- who has a bike? Who has a treadmill? Who goes walking/jogging/running?
After you cardio, you're golden and can go buy yourself a Christmas present.

Wednesday 5th December -- Love all the photos of your Christmas trees -- so much creativity. Keep sending me more, I want lots of choices.
Many of you asked how many ornaments I had on the tree -- not so many ornaments. They're garlands -- loop after loop of garlands with big colored balls on them -- you could find them on Amazon if you would like to give them a shot. I personally love them, so colorful -- and boy, do they ever fill up the tree.
No exhortations today -- You're on your own -- you have to make the decision to do something positive for your bod -- and let me know what you did, okay?

Thursday, 29th November -- I'd say 80% of you sound really on top of things, Christmas-wise and exercise-wise. Congratulations -- don't stop, don't let down. This is the season to roar, to be seen, to be heard, to be admired. And wrapping presents -- ah, what joy. Yep, I have maybe 15 more to wrap and that's it for this year. No, I'm not lying, really, over for the year -- after the games tonight.

Do post your Week 13 NFL picks TODAY -- I picked as one of the four the Saints over the Cowboys, tonight's game.
Week 13:
1) Saints over Cowboys, come on Drew, throw for 500 yards
2 Colts over Jaguars -- Luck can do it, but you never know if the Jags will show up
3) Patriots over Vikings -- Love both teams, but hey, the Pats are my first team on the list
4) Bears over Giants -- Love the Bears and QB Trubisky -- will Eli have any protection?

We've got TONS of rain coming down -- huge storm all through last night -- so all the fires are contained/out now and we're back on the road to recovery. Imagine all those poor people who lost their homes now have to fight with the insurance companies.

Wednesday, 28th November -- You should get your November newsletter today -- sorry it's late, to be honest, I simply forgot. Trust me, the December newsletter will be on time this year. Do see if your Thanksgiving was like mine. Also, the two photos of Eli and Peyton -- hopefully a good laugh.
I enjoyed reading about your gift giving, cool presents, and your plans for this Christmas.
