Tuesday, 15th January -- can you believe it? Half of January is now officially in the past -- never ceases to amaze me. Is everyone writing 2019 and not 18? I nearly slipped a couple of times but caught myself. Hey, maybe I don't need more RAM just yet.
Alas, again I must ask you to give me some laughs today as I'm still boring -- editing like a fiend -- The "tip" sheets are in the front of a hardcover with the author's actual signature. They're then printed inside the book. Pretty cool --
One of you told me to look at the utube video of Aaron Rodgers play off commercial with the Dallas Cowboys. It is very funny, unless you're a Cowboy fan, if you are, then don't watch it. It wasn't shown in Texas. It wasn't shown out here either, I don't think.
Who likes to dance? Who has an other half who also likes to dance? Talk about great exercise, get out there and shake your booty -- nothing quite like it -- is this a possibility for more activity for you?
You might consider jotting down in a notebook a schedule of what body parts you work out on what days. I don't do this but I know people who do and thought I'm mention it to you. Things you do everyday: cardio and abs -- then you rotate upper and lower body (give the muscles a day rest). What do you think? Does this touch the organizer in you?

Friday, 11th January -- One of you told me there aren't any High Cholesterol Factories in Florida (Cheesecake Factory). How can this be true? It's appalling, unbelievable, no, I cannot accept that. Tell me you were joking. Avocado egg rolls were awesome, as usual, and the sliders are always satisfying (don't forget all the small dill pickle slices).
Okay, the two NFL play off games tomorrow:
l) The Chiefs over the Colts
2) The Rams over the Cowboys
I'll post Sunday's two games manana --
This is the last day of the week, the last day for you to strut your great bod and always, always, you're making your bod stronger, and this is the bottom line. A strong body is a happy body is a well body (hopefully, unless you're dealt crappy genetic cards). So, get moving, folk, do not, whatever you do, just go about your business with no attention to getting your heart rate up, to getting your quads to sing, you know what I mean -- don't let me or yourself down today --

Thursday, 10th January -- It's off to the HCF (High Cholesterol Factory) today -- five folk, all ready for the avocado eggrolls, which as I've told you numerous times (maybe too many) are really unspeakably wonderful. Ah, and the caramel cheesecake (everyone gets one, well, two, bites). then back to work, yep, unless I fall over in a gluttonous stupor, very possible.
Tomorrow I'll post my picks for the four play-off games this weekend. How are you guys doing? As I said, I'm a marvelous 1-3 (shows you how knowledgeable I am)
Off to the gym today, guy, or outside to skip and dance down the road/street, maybe with a friend or a critter barking manically at your side. Whatever you do, do it well and hard and be aware you're not only building a magnificent bod, you're building virtue -- always a good thing.

Friday, 4th January -- Going to be an amazing Friday so do not waste it, be aware of all the possibilities for you today. Yes, I'm your prognosticator or your horoscope(er) for the day. What's critical is the way you treat people today, from co-workers to people in the grocery store to the guy who takes your credit card at the gas station. You are going to be the model of optimism, good cheer, no arguments, no upsets, no wanting to kick anyone's butt for stupidity. Nope, the world is a wonderful place with you in it and today you're going to prove it.
Naturally part of your proof is how friendly you are when working out (at the gym or walking around the neighborhood), and showing everyone you are meet and smile at just how committed you are to taking care of your precious bod. Show them the way.
So go out there today and be the best version of yourself you can be -- I'm right with you also, trying my very best.

Thursday, 3rd January -- So many of you "claim" to love Brussels sprouts. I simply can't believe it. You're pulling my leg, but if you're not doing any pulling, I've got to say, sorry, you're very wrong about this and need to rethink it.
It's the first part of the year, an excellent time to get used to not having those horrible little green balls in your house.
None of you spoke about exercising. Sure, you're taking down Christmas, cleaning out apartments, getting ready for visiting grand kids, whatever, but that's not real EXERCISE. It's good you're moving, that's the most important, true, but to give your body it its daily maintenance (like oil in your car, air in your tires), you must do targeted movement for specific muscles. Let's have some enthusiasm for daily exercise, not much, say 30 minutes total -- 20 minutes cardio, the rest either upper body, legs and abs. It's a very little amount of time, about the same as a fricking TV sit com -- Come on, guys, start this glorious year off right --All right, no more rants, well, for a little while --

Wednesday, 2nd January -- We need to write a song about a baby new year, never heard one before. Or not. All of you don't make resolutions -- I think this attitude seems very healthy and positive. One of you wrote you wanted to be a better "version" of yourself. That sounds like a goal for all of us.
If anyone can beat 49-19 in the NFL football pool, let me know.
Today is work, the gym, and a visit to Sundance, one of my very favorite stores on the planet. (And now they even carry Johnny Was) You'll be seeing a lot of Johnny Was in my new publicity photos -- if you don't know who this designer is, check it out.
It's back to paying attention to your gorgeous bod and yes, of course, the minions really encourage you to CARDIO hard, maybe even sweat a bit, but it makes you feel so awesome and virtuous. Don't you find this to be true?
New Year's Day is now in the past. Again, I'm struck by the concept of time and how there's simply no stopping it, no slowing it down (unless you're on a horrible blind date or having to eat Brussels Sprouts) Begin the year with a promise to yourself -- I will greet every day as the best day of my life.

Friday, 28th December -- Boxing Day came and went -- sorry, didn't even think to mention it.
Here are Week #17 NFL picks:
l) Patriots over Jets
2) Bears over Vikings (should be excellent, both great teams)
3) Browns over Ravens (I figure if I keep picking the Browns they'll keep winning -- what a change Mayfield has made)
4) Colts over Titans (Don't know about this one, but Luck is playing really well)
It's Friday already, always amazing to wake up Friday mornings and realize tomorrow is a sleep in day. Nice hard workout today, all systems go, and that means you're right in the trenches with me. Who isn't going to do something active today? Something focused, not incidental (like putting away Christmas decorations, or vacuuming) -- And if no exercise, tell me why and I'll decide whether or not you need a visit from the exercise minions, who, let me add, are not in a great mood this time of year --

Thursday 27th December -- all of you sound like you had a wonderful Christmas. I really enjoyed reading about what you did. You know what? For the first time in a thousand years, I actually went out yesterday and bought half-price Christmas paper and stuff. It was such fun and there's no beating the 50% off.
I'll put up my Week 17 picks this afternoon (I haven't yet looked to see who's playing and just maybe I'll want to make the game tonight one of my picks) We'll see.
All of you, exploding the thighs for Christmas is all well and good and fun and no guilt, but now it's time to slim down again -- SO, walk today, walk everywhere, walk with a friend, a critter, a lover, even a mother-in-law. But move that bod a whole lot --

Thursday, 20th December -- Christmas is rolling right up to our front doors, not long now. Two lovely Christmas parties yesterday -- This is such a wonderful, kind, very friendly, optimistic time of the year. I hope you are all enjoying yourself and your family and friends -- and don't forget, light your tree and if you don't have a tree, then put some lights up in the window, okay?
And the biggest thing? Smile while you're on the tread mill or walking or running or biking.. And after you're nice and sweaty, be sure to hug everyone you see and with them a wonderful Merry Christmas.
Work today, naturally, but only until noon -- then some recovery time before another dinner tonight -- what great fun.
Tell me your very favorite thing about Christmas -- Mine? Seeing the house decorated -- (Yes, I'm shallow) But that's where it all starts --

Wednesday, 19th December -- All of you are chugging along, making plans, getting gifts mailed, getting ready for Christmas. It's such a wonderful times of the year.
After work this morning, TWO parties -- the first one in the city at the Rotunda (in Neiman Marcus -- very nice) then some shopping around Union Square and another party this evening. Wearing new holiday clothes, which is always fun.
All of you, I need a favor. No workout for me today -- so, please, send me two minutes of your cardio -- think of my thighs -- they will love you and blow you kisses and look great in black pants.
GREAT DAY --

Halloween's coming up fast, the day the zombies burst out of the ground and terrify the crap out of us, not to mention eat our candy and eat our brains.
Update on BOMBSHELL, the 17th FBI Thriller: I'm nearly finished with the edit. The cover is very cool, explodes with eye-popping color. BOMBSHELL is set in Maestro, Va., (the setting of the 10th FBI thriller, POINT BLANK) and in Washington.
JEWEL OF THE LION (first thriller in A Brit in the FBI series partnered with J.T. Ellison). JEWEL moves fast and you don't know what's going to happen on the next page, and you're biting your toenails or a zombie's toenails. J.T. is an excellent plotter and that means when we brainstorm no plot gets left behind.
Alas, no kids want candy enough to crawl up our oxygen-deprived steep driveway, and the sad thing is, I still have a big bowl of candy, every year, but no one comes, not even the zombies with brain bags.
Take care, Catherine
