March 9, 2018

Friday, 9th of March -- I forget -- International Women's Day -- yea to the females amongst us. The photos you're posting of all the snow -- makes even me, the reptile, shiver -- it does look beautiful, but to be in it? Shoveling like mad? Trying to motorize in that mess? Yep, it appears I've lost all my grit and grown soft and cowardly living in Sausalito.
It's the last day of the week. The minions have instructed me to order you to work out very hard today, to be at the top of your game, and if that means shoveling snow, to be careful of your backs. If you're not shoveling, hunkering down waiting for the next storm, then you're outside, walking, jogging, with your critters, if possible. Move out, really move out. Don't forget SBB, breathe deeply and pull that chin in. Stretching -- best to be very gentle and thorough, warm up those muscles -- GREAT DAY --

March 8, 2018

8th of March -- Thursday -- I clicked on the ENIGMA video and got so much advertising crap -- that really pisses me off. Did you guys get it as well?

New Jersey horrendous storm: -- Is this horrible weather all over the state or only where Janice lives? Is she being punished for some unknown wickedness we don't know about? Did she do something naughty in London and the weather minions just caught up with her? Who else is hunkering down in this misery?
I'm not lying to you, really -- but I'M FINISHING THE GRAYSON SHERBROOKE NOVELLA TODAY -- now all I need is a title -- keep your digits crossed. The ending hit me last night, finally. Then it's going through the copy edited manuscript of PARADOX -- so, no rest for the wicked even though I wasn't obviously naughty like Janice.
Folk, if you're trapped inside, no problem. Do your stretches, your leg lifts, stairs or bike -- don't forget tris and bis. I prefer the gym because there are so many machines that hit every muscle in your bod -- but at home? Go for it. Keep me posted.

March 7, 2018

Wednesday, 7th of March - You liked the short video for ENIGMA -- I think it's amazing, the coolist one I've ever seen, would be great on TV, but alas, too expensive, the publisher tells me. Wait until you see the video for THE SIXTH DAY -- that one's even better, more exciting. Oh my, what fun. And then PARADOX -- that one's the very very best, but you won't see it for a while.

I understand -- Home is home -- and who wants to move away from home, from everything you know, everyone you know? one of you is, however, planning to move after son graduates from High School, studying and studying, picking the very best place, in her opinion.

Work today -- still trying to finish the novella, it's coming, maybe 15 more pages -- phew! I just wish I knew how it was going to end, still no clue. Sigh, but it will come, it always does.

Today, if you're hunkered inside, you know what to do -- stairs or bike, and on the floor for abs (leg lifts) -- now, who is neglecting their posture? If you are, expect a minion to knock on your door and scold you. Do not forget: Shoulder blades back, chin in, belly in, feet straight -- but most important? SBB --

March 6, 2018

Tuesday, March 6th -- Lots of you are still enduring crappy and extra crappy blizzard, painful snow/rain/sleet/ice -- Seriously, if it's possible, MOVE -- why spend six months of the year being controlled by the weather? I know, I know, it's Home and there's family -- get everyone to move. How's that for a doable suggestion? Yes, I'm making fun of myself, but --

Work today, trying to finish the blasted Grayson Sherbrooke novella and work this afternoon on the copy-edited PARADOX, and that brings up a great announcement:

ANNOUNCEMENT: AT LAST -- BOTH BARNES & NOBLE AND BOOKS A MILLION HAVE SIGNED COPIES OF THE SIXTH DAY AND PARADOX FOR YOU TO PRE-ORDER. Goodness, that took long enough, but at last, now it's all a go. Let me know if you have any problems at all, all right?

Yesterday, it was leg lifts and cardio, today, it's bis and tris -- arm rolls or free weights. Everyone knows how to do these right -- do 3X12. I really really like stairs -- if you do those a dozen times, sure your shoulder blades are back, feet straight, butt working, gut in -- then you don't have to hop on your stationery bike -- I've asked the minions, and they agree that'll do you for today -- hunker down, all of you who are getting frozen, stay warm, and read, especially me --

March 2, 2018

Friday, March 2nd -- that's right, a glorious Friday, end of week, and it's called Give It your All Day -- both work and exercise -- then this evening you kick back with some popcorn and watch the Warriors play the Atlanta Hawks. I want to hear you cheering for the Warriors, okay?

So much stuff to do on Friday, but it's all good because you get to sleep in tomorrow -- maybe? Usually Peyton and Eli know when it's the weekend and they give me the extra hour to snooze, walking up and down on me a half dozen times, barely enough to come out of rem sleep gradually.

Cardio today HARD -- who did the stairs? If you aren't able to do them a dozen time, then 6 times, and slowly work up. Don't forget, Shoulder Blades Back, chin down, gut in, feet straight -- and feel that amazing butt -- It's going to be a wild and perfect day -

March 1, 2018

Thursday, 1st of March -- Amazing to actually write March, like it's really here and no more February and the year is marching right along. Did you know Easter is on the 1st of April -- isn't that a kick?

Look at the my Facebook page header (if it doesn't show up on your phone feed, go to your computer) -- It's very cool. Well, I think so. What do you think?

Okay, yet another announcement: ENIGMA -- TRADE PAPERBACK (first time -- new cover -- yes, I'm an experiment -- no one else writing thrillers is in Trade (Trade is larger than mass market, smaller than hardcover, the price is in-between, trade is easier to read, wider spacing and bigger print). If you haven't read ENIGMA, give it a shot -- Again, let me know what you think.

Today it's raining here, big YEA! We really need it. I was nearly ready to have you call out your local rain minions. Today, for you guys, it's going to be up and down stairs 12 times -- go until your legs ache, in other words, really work them. No stairs? Go use a good friend's, a neighbor's, your kids' -- find them. This is great for your cardio, strengthens and gives you endurance -- make sure your shoulder blades are back, your feet right in front of you and your chin down -- Do that and you're golden --

February 14, 2018

Wednesday, 14th February: I just read what I wrote yesterday and the number of of errors made my toes curl, yours too, probably. Sorry about that, didn't proof closely enough. who out there is a good proof reader? Or, like me, do you tend to see what you think should be there and gloss right over it?
Remember Tara Lapinski? She won the gold some time ago, I can't remember. She's one of the talking heads, with a male skater and a really cute regular person. What she says is right on. However, I wish I could wash her face, make her look more natural and less like a glamour queen -- She looks like she's afraid to move she might displace something
Happy Valentine's Day to All -- now, guys, what are you doing for your perfect other half? Really, every single other half is perfect today -- at least this one day of the year. Flowers, chocolates, a tread mill, a bulldog named Rocco, chicken Parmesan with yummy garlic toast? And what comes after? A neat movie? Make your own movie? R rated? Come on, dish it up -- Of course you have to prepare for the perfect Valentine's evening.
To prepare for any aftermath, you need to be supple and lithe, be able to dance your feet off -- so it's Valentine's CARDIO. No drawing hearts while you're doing it, okay? Great Evening --

February 13, 2018

February 13, 2018

Tuesday, 13th of February -- Lots of you are like me -- cold, covers to the nose. Critters snuggled in between your legs, behind your knee, around your neck.
Only two of you did your walking. I hope you did it and just didn't mention it to me (I, of course, pass it on to the mentions to give gold stars or kicks in the butt)
Olympics: Two seventeen year olds -- the women's half pipe and the men's snowboarding -- golds. Can you imagine? You're 17, as in you can barely legally drive, and you win the best in what you do in the entire fricking world? I do wonder what those kids were thinking while the anthem was being played. If you know a 17-year-old, ask him/her how he'd/she'd feel.
No more being slackers -- (Janice, you're okay, you're dead on your feet). Come on, guys, you have only one bod -- treat it right. You're stiff, aren't very flexible? It doesn't matter if you're ten or eighty -- you keep that bod moving, stretched, mobile, supple -- today after your cardio -- on your back on the floor, one hand behind your head, the other on your stomach, pressing down, and one leg bent or straight as you can and lift and lower other leg slowly twelve times, feeling those abs working under your hand. Okay?

February 9, 2018

Friday, 9th of February -- I'm running like a bat out of the underworld, so much fun, plus, on top of all of it, my birthday party is today -- Apple pie, three different cakes (left over from Christmas) and presents piled up. What joy! J.T. and I are doing actual scenes in the book now, and that brings up new possibilities and problems.
This is Friday, guys, and that means you polish off the week as a virtuous worthy person, not a slacker. CARDIO hard, do arm rolls and stretch big time (male and female). A little suggestion you might like: when you get in bed, you're lying on your back, suck in your stomach really hard, pressing down with one hand, count to 10, release, do again -- 12 times. Don't forget to breathe while you're sucking in. Let me know what you think. GREAT FRIDAY!
