December 20, 2017

Wednesday, 20th of December -- when it hits the 20th, it's the tip over the top of the mountain -- now it's whooosh -- and you're opening presents and sitting down to Christmas dinner. Thank you for sending all your photos -- aren't they fun to see? Dessert (not desert) party last night was great -- lots of fun, so many goodies, champagne, Christmas carols -- and everyone got to take more of their favorite dessert(s) home -- better with them than all sitting here, seducing the unwary --
Work today -- editing Paradox -- that's the 22nd FBI, out next July. The Sixth Day went in YESTERDAY -- big huge yea!
Today, you need to finish up all the little extras, like Christmas stocking goodies -- does everyone do Christmas stockings, not only for kids but for your other half? It's neat, say a 50$ maximum for the whole sock --
CARDIO your brains out today -- remember, you don't want all the wonderful Christmas goodies to make a home on your bod -- they can have a brief visit, but that's it. Lots of cardio is the way to get them moving on, all right? So dig in, it really lessens the guilt, and for good reason --

December 19, 2017

Tuesday, 19th of December -- Time is no longer in the hip pocket, it's on the march, maybe even close to sprinting --
maybe time gets Christmas presents too and that's why, you think? Wonderful dessert party tonight, here at my house -- at least 8 different desserts (apple pie, choc. chip cookies, Florentines, hummingbird cake, German choc. cake, praline cake, choco. pecan Kringle, etc. -- my brain just froze listing out all those goodies --) And champagne and I play the piano and everyone sings Christmas carols. What fun! It's a yearly tradition. How about you guys? Any traditions like this with family, friends, neighbors? If not, why not start one -- and getting together to sing is mighty cool --

SHOULDER BLADES BACK -- does everyone think about this now, at least fairly often? And don't forgot those leg lifts and try to get the resting leg flat on the floor, one hand on your belly to feel the muscles, one hand under your head -- SLOW --

Do one nice thing today for a complete stranger --

December 15, 2017

Friday, 15th of December -- One of you pointed out that a huge stress reliever is cuddling with your pet(s) -- this is very true -- there are even studies showing blood pressure drops significantly with a pet all over you, purring and rubbing their chins against your face.
Who's going to see The Last Jedi? Does this mean there'll be no more Star Wars movies? Does this mean Yoda is now in the Jedi ether? This one better not kill off Harrison Ford again and the hero and heroine -- I don't remember the name of that one, but I wanted to shoot the ones who made it --
Today all you de-stressed, happy, smiling folk -- after you stretch and do your cardio (with your SHOULDER BLADES BACK), drink a huge glass of something that's made with lots of water. I hate water, so for me, it's lots of tea (which is made with water, right?). Tonight, have some popcorn and watch a movie on tv -- yep, stay in and relax and love on every creature in your house, including your other half -

December 14, 2017

Thursday, 14th of December -- NO STRESS! Do you hear me? Do you understand? Stress will kill you and to be honest, I'd rather have a Mac truck get me than do it to myself. So, if you're stressed out, sit down and take deep breaths and smile and say, I'm more important than presents or decorations or chocolate cake and everyone in your family will agree. So, if you feel it piling on you, just stop and sit down and breathe.

Outside Christmas decorations -- post photos -- and the decorated neighborhoods -- I want to see them.

I'm finishing up THE SIXTH DAY today -- huge, big YEA -- is it good? I have no clue, but all digits are hopeful. J.T. and I have been going back and forth -- so a final forth to her, then off it wings back to me and then OFF IT GOES. Christmas prayers, please, I understand they're more powerful.
Do not forget SHOULDER BLADES BACK -- and yes, you'll look slimmer -- if you're on the computer a lot, print up a note and stick it up so every once in a while you see it and back the shoulder blades go.
Every single one of you -- today, do one thing out-of-the-box, something not on your To Do List. It doesn't have to be a great big huge deal, nope, just something you hadn't thought of. What could it be? Give a friend a call you haven't seen for a while. Call your grandmother, call your grandkid (s) -- eat a Godiva chocolate bar -- whatever, recognize you're doing something not on your schedule and BIG SMILE -

December 12, 2017

Tuesday, 12th of December -- I love all the photos you guys are posting of your trees -- Tell me, when you plug in the lights every morning, do you stand there a moment and bask? All presents wrapped and under the tree? Or under something? Like I have some presents under a big white bear with a red scarf holding up a Christmas tree, lights, the whole six yards
I'm work, work, work today -- well, I guess we all work on Tuesdays so I'll stop whining. It's unattractive -- sorry.
NFL Week 14 -- Well, the Patriots didn't show up last night so as a result I'm 1-3 -- Rams lost, Raiders lost, only the Steelers pulled one out -- So to date, I'm 37-19. Where do you guys sit?

Today, it's cardio your eyebrows off -- I mean it, you make your heard speed up and stay there with all the effort you can muster (doesn't matter, bike, running, walking, climbing) -- even sweat -- a revolting thought, but it's important. All on board?

December 8, 2017

Friday, 8th of December: I forgot, mea culpa -- Pearl Harbor Day yesterday -- and you guys remembered -- Who among you haven't yet visited the Arizona? I guarantee it's a one-box-of-Kleenex experience.
The party was as much fun as ever -- lots of laughter, and hearing about what everyone's doing, their lives, their writing -- and you're right, there wasn't a calorie in sight -- I made sure of that, did a sweep before everyone arrives. I'll post a photo sometime today, I hope, iPad on temporary hiatus.
End of week and you're getting ready to rock 'n roll the weekend. But first, all of you with your shoulder blades back, you need to work on bis and tris and CARDIO your little butts off. Actually, stairs and walking are great for the butt, so give that some thought.
German chocolate cake, raspberry Kringle, homemade HUGE chocolate chip cookies, lemon Bundt cake -- I ask you, how can you go wrong?

December 6, 2017

Wednesday, 6th of December -- Question: Do you think McAdoo will get another head coach offer? If yes, who do you think would make that offer? (No, not Browns, they need a QB) I'm really hoping the team rallies and the Giants win another game. But they have so many injuries and that brings up: You're seeing ghastly injuries this season, despite all the penalties, all the fines, all the new rules, -- If you had a teenage boy, would you let him play football? and what is this about Peyton Manning coaching his son's "flag" football team? Do you think this will take off? I mean, the injuries, the brain damage to all these men and when they stop playing. What I think might very well stop all the vicious hits is that the guilty player is immediately ejected and suspended for say 2 games -- that would stop it, don't you think?
Thank you for all the beautiful Christmas photos you're posting. It's such fun to see what everyone does -- Did you see the photo with the three BIG lollipops? Christmas lollipops, of course. I want to know what they're made of --
Now, watchword for today is really three watchwords: SHOULDER BLADES BACK -- I am constantly reminding myself since I'm sitting at a computer -- I even put a little sticky note at the top of my computer that says SHOULDER BLADES BACK. I can't think of another way to repeat SHOULDER BLADES BACK -- well, okay, I'll stop nagging, but it's super important. CARDIO, folks --

December 5, 2017

Tuesday, December 5th -- Tell me, which NFL team disappointed you most yesterday? (not necessarily your own favorite team). I am so pleased the coach/gm of GIANTS got fired -- The Maras did the right thing eventually (after they got criticized by the world) -- no more McAdoo and GM -- that was certainly a disaster. And Eli's back. Does anyone think McAdoo will get hired by another NFL team?
Send me more Christmas photos of your decorations -- how about outside? Anyone go all-out outside?
Today, it's the Christmas season and time for the final elimination of your bat wings, -- you've been working right along, arm rolls daily, three sets, right? So this is the month you make them gone for good. Remember, they'll come back if you aren't vigilant. Cardio, folks, or the minions might go shopping for coal for your stockings.

December 1, 2017

December 1st, Friday -- Here we go. Some of you say you're stressed -- well, you can stop that immediately. Take a deep breath. Sit sit down with a cup of tea/coffee, pull out a sheet of paper, and simply make a prioritized list of what you need to do. then divide into days -- And my biggest suggestion, to everyone: CHRISTMAS SHOP DURING THE YEAR AT BIG SALES AND SOCK PRESENTS AWAY. It's always a lovely surprise when you meet up again with the gifts and NO STRESS about that.
I want photos of your decorations. I'm nearly done with the top floor -- so maybe early next week I'll post mine.
This is the day the blinders come off. December 1st. No more turkey, no more cranberry sauce, nope, it's on to a month filled with wonderful pleasure and get-togethers, so make your list and be sure to cross things off as they're completed, makes you feel really good.
Big end-of-week CARDIO today -- I'd like to hear what each of you do for cardio. I'd like to know if you're stronger, have more endurance, look good -- Remember, a habit, part of your schedule, never questioned, something you simply DO -- Don't say, well, I'll start exercising in January. NO -- you start right now if you haven't, okay? That would be your Christmas present to me -

November 30, 2017

November 30, 2017

Thursday, 30th of November -- Last day, hang on a little longer, make this a full very long day before you crash into history. Yep, that's what I'm repeating all day today. Once tomorrow comes, it's a whole different ballgame and you know what? Christmas and all the things associated with Christmas like DECORATING are right there, staring me in the face. Yes, November, don't leave, I still feel like turkey and dressing and pumpkin pie and Christmas is still way far off. I'm going to wallow in you all day and hang on tight.
Phew! But that's how I feel. Once tomorrow hits, everything changes. You agree?
Big work today and, naturally, Christmas decorating -- since it's here, right in my face. Guys, for Christmas here's what I want:
I want all of you to have exercise as part of your schedule, it's a habit, something you won't even have to think about, something you simply do, everyday -- well, okay, take one day off -- but CARDIO everyday and work on your abs (leg lifts are the safest and best) and roll those arms. Okay, It might cost you a little bit (weights, gym memberships, for example) but once you make the commitment, that's it -- well, maybe some stretchy pants and sneakers. Will you give me that for Christmas?
