i was concerned that i would DNF this because i didn’t realize it was a book of short stories (i thought it was a celebrity memoir), but i’m actually loving this. all the short stories are brief and witty and satirical, and a few of them even interconnect. it’s hard to put this down!

a very glowing review of this is coming up tomorrow when i finish it but i didn't realize it's 3:30 AM

I have mixed thoughts on this but I do understand why people love the characters so much.

this book is obviously very meaningful and has a lot of impactful moments but something about the 2-minute sidetrack she went on to talk about how much she loves goldfish crackers just makes this book shine

so far the inclusions of a POV from 2011 seems a bit useless since 75% of this is told in the past perspective, and I find that part much more interesting. Still, this audiobook is really good.

update: they didn't sort out their drama while i was asleep and now i have to deal with theiR DRAMATIC ASSES ALL OVER AGAIN OH MY GOD I HAVE THE WORST SECONDHAND EMBARRASSMENT I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH

warner's in the book now i'm so tired i need 7 naps i'm going to bed and hopefully they'll figure out their drama by the morning and i won't have to deal with it

i'm annotating this before restore me comes out! idk why i decided to do the series out of order but here we are. (also i definitely put this book down because warner was mentioned and it was too much so idk how i'm gonna survive his entire pov in restore me bye)

i've never been able to sleep because of a book but i was literally up until 6 AM tossing and turning because this book couldn't leave my head and i had to turn on cartoons to be able to sleep

started this on audiobook and it’s the most addicting thing i’ve read in a while but i’m putting it down for tonight because i’m crying so hard. i can’t imagine how painful this must be to read if you have kids of your own because my empathy is hurting so much and i can’t even relate to this

maybe one day i'll be able to read one book at a time instead of one physical book and one audiobook. (this book is entertaining but i think it'll just get 3 stars. i don't remember much from book one but the characters are kinda typical and less exciting than i remember but then again i read the first book in like 2015)

i specifically picked this up on the day i started my period because i figured if i'm gonna cry every half hour for no reason i might as well give myself a reason

my strategy to read throne of glass books is that i skip all the chapters i don't care about, which usually goes great but not so much for this book because i was on page 2 before i had to google who nesryn was, sooooo.....

this book has so many structural issues. it feels like the author had a plot she wanted and just threw in characters that weren't compatible with that conflict at all. none of their actions make sense and none of the puzzle pieces are fitting together. it's just so awkward

i'm listening to this on audiobook and it's bittersweet. on one hand, i keep zoning out and not really capturing what's happening because the plot is really slow, but if i put down the audiobook to read the physical book then i get bored and put the book down. the writing is gorgeous but there's not enough action or dialogue to hold my attention. 80% of the book is just observation and memories

i'm compiling a list of all the similarities this has to the acotar series because i'm convinced margaret is just trying to write a PG version of rhys and feyre lol

this is the oldest book on my goodreads tbr (4 years!!!) and noah fence but im really bored 🙃 magnus is my favorite character but he’s boring when he’s not with characters we already know :l

This started off really fun and exciting but now it's slowing down. The book really isn't what I expected and i'm looking for the audiobook at this point because I keep putting it down every few pages :/

definitely stayed up until 4 AM reading this and crying

not a fan of sci-fi/contemporary hybrids, but as my anxiety makes me prone to nihilism, this is already captivating my attention. also, the main character is vulgar in a way that's hilarious and not overdone, so i'm applauding that as well. i keep trying to listen to this on audio but reading it physically is the only way to do this justice because of the cool/funny/introspective writing style.

i was demanded to read this over 3 years ago but i'm just now picking it up. shocker--it's as good as people always say it is. i just have to let it age like wine for a few years on my shelf, i guess

if miss peregrine's home for peculiar children and dorothy must die had a book child, this would be it

the first book i loved radu's chapters more than lada's but this book i think i might be liking lada's more. but i love every bit of this
