the romance in this is soooo good and this is very feminist and diverse but the conflict thrown in just now is so random and so much larger than the scope of the book that it just seems ill-placed and underdeveloped :/

this series is one that i know is good, but i always forget about it. however, as soon as i turned to page one of this book and started reading, i was thrust right back into the world amongst characters i forgot i love so much and i anticipate this book is gonna be my new favorite in the series eeeeep i missed this universe and it deserves more discussion than i offer it currently

the first two essays in this were about anxiety and i could relate so much it hurt. now that i'm further in, there's a lot more essays i can't relate to so it's not as gripping, but for those first two chapters alone i'm already so swayed to give this a glowing review. but then again does a book deserve a pat on the back just for mirroring my own experience? hmmmm

lol i can tell you right now this book is getting a maximum of two stars. the main characters are so entitled and snobby and pick on each other just to be assholes. truly inferior enemies to lovers, almost laughably bad. also having guys be from the UK just to have accents is a trope we should've left in 1991 with Outlander. I thought this would be cute but it's just straight up cringy on every single page

This is SO good but the abrupt transition between quick, easy romance and this type of dense literary fiction is definitely taking its toll and this is taking me a while to read! I'm gonna let myself take my time with it though because I can tell this is setting up to be a 5 star book

it's so refreshing to read about female characters who are confident and enjoy flirting and aren't so self-conscious that they hate interacting with men. i love christina lauren's books more and more because all of their characters are people i would love to hang out with. it gets tiring reading so many romance books about girls who are so meek and timid when i can't relate to it at all

i had this on my shelf and as an audiobook on scribd, and when i saw it tonight i honest to god was about to just unhaul it because i didn't think i'd ever get to it. i ended up turning on the audiobook instead just to try it and i'm so glad i did. this book has some great feminist quotes, like, "Hysteria--a word to make women feel insane for knowing what they know." this book is dark but sooo good

this book is good, but for some reason it doesn't have the same quality as most other romances where i want to read it in one sitting. i keep putting this down and forgetting about it, so it's taken me like 2 weeks to read.

this book better keep its shit together because it's setting up to be one of my favorites of the year. finally, something on par with the hating game. and a main character i can actually relate to!! afraid to scare away guys because she's so weird? ME. so far, 5 stars, even though there's some shaky territory with hazel fetishizing korean culture

I'm so close to DNFing this, but I've come so far that I don't know if I should just endure the rest of it. The book isn't bad, it just isn't good enough to justify having almost 800 pages. The main character is interesting and I like following his life and his conflicts, but this book is so unnecessarily lengthy and I'm at the point where every time I pick this up I immediately become bored
