the first book i loved radu's chapters more than lada's but this book i think i might be liking lada's more. but i love every bit of this

i found this book on a feminist romance recommendations list, and it's definitely not something i would have picked up on my own but i'm actually decently enjoying it! obviously it's not entierly unproblematic, but the love interest has a mastiff so my life is complete

both john green and the editor from bloomsbury who sent this to me said that it's an amazing book, so i'm excited to see where this goes!

this is great, but it's starting to stray away from discussion of mental illness and moreso just talk about funny stuff, which is fine, but again. off topic. however her writing style (and audiobook narration) really reminds me of mindy kaling's books, which i love, so i'm not complaining.

i keep thinking “ugh nothing is happening in this book, it’s kinda boring” but i just realized it’s been 2 hours since i first thought that and i’ve been unable to put this down. not as good as tfios, as expected, but still hits close to home. and i love davis.

i did not wait 3 years of my life for this just for it to be sad and full of unneeded angst ........................

i don't hate this book at all but it's just hard to read while in the throes of mental illness, because the beginning of this reads less like "reasons to stay alive" and more like "reasons to fear relapsing," because the entire beginning just describes him in the worst months of his life and it was kinda triggering. but i'm looking forward to the uplifting stuff when we get to it lol

every time i reread it im like “problematic but whatever” but the more i reread it, the more questions arise that i want answered in book 4. this book still means a lot to me, but there’s no way for me to read this book while thinking “omg i love warner!!” he’s the villain & he does/says so many problematic things. i’m just having a hard time reconciling how to justify the characters’ behavior. more to come!

i stopped listening to this on audio because i didn't understand what was happening and i thought i'd missed so much but in reality this book is just so confusing, and it's this one chapter in particular that makes no sense that i couldn't get past last time either!!!

started this on audio as i cleaned last night and i really like it! it focuses a lot more on the mindy project which i don't watch and don't particularly care about, but her books are SUPER fun on audio and I enjoy her humor, and she doesn't go on and on about her personal life in ways I find boring or can't relate to.

don't hate it....... don't love it

i’m going back and rereading this as a physical book instead of audiobook because i forgot everything and i wasnt absorbing it in the first place and i love my sweet innocent child, Radu

idk if it’s that this is a YA contemporary or that I don’t like Becky’s writing, but this just got sooo corny and cliché. also idk, i’d rather not read a book about a fat MC if it’s gonna be one of those “i hate my body” books. that’s a crude summary but i think i’m gonna do a full blog post about it.

i can’t believe more people don’t rave about this. i knew it was a bestseller but WOW it’s a must read.

every time i pick this up it’s so hard to find a stopping point because my pencil is just flying circling things i agree with

so far, so good! it can get a lil cheesy and unrealistic with the dialogue, but already super relatable bc fat and anxious MC? literally me too

the stories are slowing down now and they're not as punchy, but still easily one of the best books i've read this year

this is going to be one of my new favorite books of all time. every sentence challenges my world view, challenges my comfort zone, challenges my morality. i'm awake at 5 AM reading this just completely in awe. I haven't even finished the book and I already want to reread it. It's made of raw power.

I switched to reading the physical version of this, and strangely, I like it more? Maybe it’s because the first 100 pages were about her growing up in the 80s/90s and i #cantrelate, but now that this is getting into her time at SNL, it’s a lot better

this book is such a drastic improvement from most NA i read, but it’s so bland. i keep skim reading anything that isn’t dialogue between the 2 love interests 💀

this is starting to drag a lil. for a book about a war survivor, there's very little discussion about the war.

i'm not super duper into tina fey's work but that hasn't stopped me from enjoying some celebrity audiobooks in the past. however, i just cant relate to this one or find it funny as easily as i thought

TAMMARA PLS PULL THRU WITH A NON-PROBLEMATIC BOOK

This book is soooo pretty, I already ordered my own copy.

i enjoyed faudet's first book enough to pick this one up, and i just got the third one on netgalley, so i guess i'm gonna read all of them lol

this book........ is good. i had such low expectations because milk & honey is so bad but this is really different! so much more emotional, such diverse topics, less corny, way more powerful. still not 5 stars and flawless, but such a huge step up that i'm gonna actually add this to my wishlist so i can get a copy to highlight and annotate. wow.

the dude in this book is the actual worst. i'm running out of energy to keep typing up a list of what all in this book is problematic.
