Argh, I really hate when scenes are written this way. Ethan's told he's not allowed to come so when he tries to TELL Max that he can't take anymore & comes anyway, it's NOT his fault. W/O a safeword to stop the action then it's the Dom's fault for his "failure." I know it's written to set up the spanking scene next, but that's bad execution. Would have worked better if he'd been given a word & deliberately disobeyed.

Okay, I know the words are supposed to be synonymous, but it really annoys me when "regime" is used in a context where "regimen" makes more sense. Maybe it's my age showing, but I always associate "regime" with government or ruling body...while "regimen" is a prescribed or planned way of doing certain things.

eg: A corrupt regime in control of America vs. my beauty regimen takes 3 minutes every morning.

I do so love the team dynamic in these books, especially with these women who are strong as hell, competent leaders and agents, performing better than the men in some situations.

At this rate, if they stay this well-written, I can honestly see myself reading an MF (or even FF) story in this 'verse if Hailey decides to write one for Katie, Madison or Annabelle. Just sayin'.

Eh...the writing is not as tight as I'm used to from the other books I've read by AV.
