20.7 Christmas fuzzies....or notI am most definitely in the NOT category. I dread Christmas and enjoy very little of it. The whole thing is a chore to me from the shopping, wrapping, cooking, cleaning, entertaining - DON'T LIKE IT ONE BIT. So, I obviously needed a humorous book and I found a great one. I read Round Ireland with a Fridge by Tony Hawks. Very funny and just what I needed after the holidays.

30.5 The Old '10/The New '11Old: The Edible Woman. that thing's been on my shelf FOREVER! glad i finally read it, it was good!
New: Greetings From Planet Earth. this was one of the newest 11 books i had added to my shelf at the time i chose books for the winter challenge, i've since added other books. i read this aloud to my 3rd grade class and they loved it! it's pretty heavy subject matter, so i was worried they wouldn't, but they did! :)

20.5 Bigger is Better: Ashley FL's task as suggested by Stesse- Bigger is Better, and Larger than LifeFor this task I read Out of Body by Stella Cameron (Goodreads author). I think she is unconventional because she is a psychic that can see women that have been kidnapped and she must try and explain this to the police to help find them.

My favorite genre is paranormal romance so I read Immortal by V.K. Forrest and Midnight Brunch by Marta Acosta.

For part A I chose Dragon Well Tea and read Born To Be Wild by Christine Warren which has a lion shifter as one of the main characters. For part B I read Steamed by Katie MacAlister (Goodreads author).

For Part A I read Murder on the Orient Express: A Hercule Poirot Mystery by Agatha Christie, which was published in 1933. For part B I read Six Strokes Under by Roberta Isleib. I know my mother has been wanting to try this author and loves reading cozy mysteries so that's why I chose it.

I have completed task #5.2 "Singles Awareness Day" by reading
"NOON" edited by Diane Williams and Christine Schutt
Although Goodreads lists the title as "NOON 09," you can see from the book's cover that the title is simply NOON. This is a literary annual and the year was affixed to the title by a Goodreads librarian to help distinguish this book from the previous nine issues, all of which(?) have the same title. Hope that clears up any possible confusion!
Christine Schutt is a Goodreads Author. She is a senior editor of this issue of NOON and also one of the contributors.
