December 2009 Reading Challenge
I am not quite sure what I think of evermore. I didnt really get into the book until 200 pages in. I see a decent base for a story but Im not sure if the first book pulled it off. I will probably pick up Blue moon and see how that does but it wont be on my immediate buy list. Now I am about to start the book I have been waiting for... Dark Lover. I know everyone seems to love this series so I kept it for last so i would feel the need to read outside the challenge.

They are making a P & P & Zombies movie? I think I just lost alittle respect for cinema.
I really didn't like this. I only read the teaser chapter that was online and thought it was rubbish. Then you have Sense and Sensibility and sea monsters

I just finished [book:On the Prowl|285212] that has a short story by Sunny and was wondering what the other stories were like. Thanks for putting your star rating - I am encouraged to find them now.
Lynn, I see you have read them also, what did you think?
I have read the first 2 Debbie. I liked them. They are diff something different. In the book the characters are children of the moon. They are something like a vamp and were together. Since I started the series I will have to finish it to know what goes on. You will have to let me know what you think of them!
I finished Succubus Heat last night and really love the Series. I so needed to talk to someone after Succubus Dreams but can't seem to find any posts. Does anyone know if there posts for the Succubus Series?

I am so far behind on my reading this month with all the holiday stuff, but they have been added to my teetering tower of TBR's that this challenge is suppose to reduce not increase. Oh well!
You are only just NOW losing a little respect for Hollywood? You are a starry eyed dreamer, right? And hey--they have to find something to make movies about, since apparently all the writers, producers and directors share 1 tiny little pea brain between them. And that's not even taking into account the money people who have even LESS brains and no imagination either. I'm starting to think that you have to go for indie's to get anything good any more--and even then you are taking a really big chance.

I'm reading the Succubus series too- I just finished Succubus Dreams, and am looking forward to reading Succubus Heat. I found an older thread on this group called Succubus Blues- spoilers for the series. Check it out:

I was afraid I was going to get side tracked and I really wanted to do the challenge. About 100 pgs in Dark Lover and I am glad I did. I think I am going to love this series as much as it seems everyone else does :)

9.The Rest Falls Away
Back-up Six:
3.Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
4.Kiss of Midnight
5.Embrace the Night
6.No Rest for the Wicked
Full Moon Rising was just ok – I really liked the vampire hero (the strong silent type again, for those with me in Token Female Gamer’s discussion :-) but despised the heroine. The “free love” mentality just bothered me, although I don’t know why seeing as I really enjoy Laurell K. Hamilton’s books. Maybe because Anita Blake & Meredith Gentry have standards in the men they sleep with, whereas Riley Jensen’s whole attitude was more “well, since you’re just standing there, why don’t we…” – not that she ever does quite, just that’s her inner take on “mating”.
Enchanted was even better than Forbidden, and somehow had even more drama. I know this book was good cuz it had me ready to scream at the torment Ariane is going through but completely unable to put down the book, whereas most books that torture the main characters too much make me want to put the book through the shredder. The ending is immensely satisfying and wraps the trilogy up nicely.

Once I get started, I can not stop. I have to keep reading. It is my drug. I worked last week a 16 hour shift and a 24 hour shift. I sit with people with special needs, I read once they go to bed which is honestly at like 7pm. I have anywhere from 5-10 hours by myself. I finish one and start another. A book aday keeps the doctor away right? LOL!! The one book (Nick's) was really a short story. My friends laugh because I have 4 kids that live with me. I am a foster parent. I need to read in order to stay sane. Because otherwise I would be a wreck. They are all in school but one. Once left alone, I can do some serious hurtn' on a book!
I'm going to do one of these for the very first time. And hope that I get the new Laurell K. Hamilton book in time. 1.
