Good question. I found a book for every letter that I'm interested in reading -- was about 3 short on my TBR. X was very difficult and Z wasn't much easier. I created a shelf for this challenge. Y was fairly easy for me to find, though.

Hi Markie - thanks for the question!
For this year, the title of the book (with the exceptions of the words "the" and "a") must start with the letters X, Y, and Z. Not author names.
If a lot of people have trouble or there is a lot of common feedback, we may switch up the rules a bit for next year, but for now operate under the assumption that the letter applies to the book title.

I made a shelf too but I was only adding books as I read them, that's a great idea to add them all before hand too!

I’m currently on the app so can’t do the fancy reply, but I have all the letters from my TBR list (or at least options), except X. So for X options I googled “book titles that start with X” or something, and it actually brought me to a list here on Goodreads! A lot of groups do challenges like this and so there is a lot of help available for finding books! Hope this helps :)

Example: I have 1Q84 on my TBR list. Would it be under O for one, Q or would it not count at all for this challenge?

GREAT question. I think books that start with a number can be like a wild card, or like a blank piece in scrabble - feel free to use for any letter you choose!
