Required: Explain how your choice fits the task.
The Adventures of Augie March by Saul Bellow– 586 pages - I claim 1 BB ticket for this book.
– This book has been on my physical bookshelf for years. Tried to start it when I first got it. I read through the first 100 pages or so and was so bored, I couldn’t continue. I tried again to read it last year, but through an audiobook. After the first part, I still couldn’t get through it – even the narrator’s voice I found boring/irritating. I finally decided I would get this book off of my shelf! It feels like an accomplishment – the book is highly recommended and I did like some parts of it, but it is unnecessarily descriptive in parts (or I just lack patience!)

50.1 - Maya's Task : We've Been Here Before...Or Have We?
Book 1:
Option A: READ A BOOK that fits any other task or task option from the Fall 2016 Season.
Dark Echo by F.G. Cottam
This book fits task 20.2 Option 4: Read a book whose title starts with a word that begins with one of the letters in PARADE.
The paperback version has 358 pages: Dark Echo
Book 2:
Option A: READ A BOOK from a series that you have read a book from this season already and successfully claimed for a Fall 2016 task.
Jane and the Stillroom Maid by Stephanie Barron
I claimed book #4 in this series already for Task 5.7 in post 959
The paperback version has 336 pages: Jane and the Stillroom Maid
Book 3:
Option B: READ A BOOK that you've tried to read before but did not finish.
The Killing of Polly Carter by Robert Thorogood
I tried to read this in April of this year, when I finished book 1, but somehow could not get into it and gave up after I read the first quarter. I then tried again at the start of this season (as I planned to use this for task 25.2), but had again to stop after a third this time, as I needed to read something that fit into another challenge (Hello Wobble...), but this time all fit (Yeah!)
The paperback version has 333 pages: The Killing Of Polly Carter
358 + 336 + 333= 1027 pages
