For my second book, I chose "The World Series," and read Knots and Crosses, the first Inspector Rebus book by Ian Rankin. I had never read anything by him before this book.

For my "singer" option, I chose 5A (book written by author who's also actor) and read The Gun Seller by Hugh Laurie - best known (at least to me) as "House."
For my "song" option, I chose 2B and read Hide and Seek, set in Edinburgh, which I visited last spring. Since we were tourists, not getting involved with murders and police activities, our experience of the city was quite different from that depicted in the book! I live in the U.S.
