I'm not a fan of YA stuff but the pacing is very good so I find this pretty easy to read. I'm struck by how unlikable I find Katniss, she is so self-centred, not terribly bright & often foolish. I've no doubt her upbringing would have hardened her outlook & that she'd have no trust for Capital-types but to be violent towards her own people the instant she doesn't like something is sheer stupidity, & not endearing. Onwards...

Hi, I'm Kylie buts cats or catsalive is fine. I'm in Sydney, Australia. I've recently started a new job so my reading has slowed down, mainly because I'm so knackered when I get home. I have a dog & 2 cats & am shortly taking delivery of a 3rd cat, a 2yo who is in desperate need of a home. Not an ideal situation because I only adopted one in February but I couldn't let the poor lad go to a shelter that is bursting at the seams with kittens.
I read most things but don't like horror or really technical scifi because they bore me.
I like the sound of the BOMs but If I don't have it already, or it's not at my library, then I'm not reading it. I have put a reserve on The Malevolent Seven so I may get to it in time, but the library doesn't have Salt & Broom.
