This story is great so far

This is getting more and more unapologetically anti-non-Libertarian. Tacky levels of political ideology.

At one point, 2 characters share a strong dislike for books authored using the outline structure. I think this book could have used one, since the last half seemed to detour around an exciting book.

I have fireman fatigue. It feels like this book had been concluding for 100 pages.

Having trouble with this one. There's something about it though. Reading a time travel story written nearly a half century ago is... ironic? dated? meta? I don't know the right adjective...

Cannot wait for this to be over. This book is for teen girls. I hate it when I don't read the reviews close enough.

I'm definitely the wrong demographic for this book. But, the time-traveling pirate idea is good enough for me.

Insanely repetitive. There's so little diversity of actions, items, plot points, motivations. It's like I'm reading the same 100 page story multiple times in 1 book. It's bizarre.

Narrator Jonathan Yen uses 2 voices. The main character (Mr. yen's normal voice).. and everyone else: dead ringer for Shaggy from the Scooby Doo cartoon.

So much better than book 1, imho. I'm so happy i decided to read on.

Storm glaives and enigmatic deities that grant boons, probably. Love it.

Large empire nations, lady liberty, "crack a few eggs to make an omelet" colonialism. I do like when the metaphors ate easily accessible, and not terribly intellectual.

"watching on tv's worldwide", "miles of 35mm film for my camera", "electronic computers do the work of hundreds of calculators".

The book is very very dated. Which is hard for sci-fi. But the story is good.

hmm. to book 3, or not to book 3...

This 1st person, slow-reveal story reads like a long metaphor. Or a story with a moral. There are so few environmental details that you only get a fuzzy picture of their dystopian Earth. The supporting characters are frustratingly low on details on their conversations that I wonder about some of their inclusions...

Reading this book makes me feel uneducated.

How do you read this book? I feel like I missed an important detail, or maybe it's just one that has slow reveals? Confused.

I can see this being a really fun movie.

Pretty sure this author is allergic to dialog...

"...named after the season you were born. ." This is getting good.

I'm not sure about this. Some really big and fascinating ideas... it's like the plot is getting in the way of this book's ideas.

Oh now I see why so many reviewers say the lead character is a douche-nozzle.

Not sure why I got this book or who recommended it. It's alright. Nothing great, definitely a lot of Harry Potter parallels.

"distilled dumpster juice" lol. The amount of descriptive smells is hilarious.

Lol at the "Who's Marlon?" running joke.

Snow Crash, Seveneves, now Reamde have all been amazing books. This guy is seriously talented.

What kinda book is this? I like it... just it's weird. I love the Russian history though
