Paint-by-numbers fantasy. I like it, but i don't think i'll continue the series.

Dry writing style, seems very British.

Interesting details on Madonna... Nothing revelatory or sensational. No new ground here. And so, in its non-sensationalism, the book is an oddity among all the writings about Madonna. Any article, book, news report, etc... leans towards outrageous.

The story telling is masterful. The story is lacking.

Not a big commitment, though.... andi have hope there will something (plot, character, anything) that's not 100% predictable and stereotypical. It's looking doubtful though.

This book is deep when it needs to be deep. Fun and irreverent, and still somehow respectful... idk. It's not easy to put in a box.

I should not have delayed reading this book for so long. it's great so far.

This would make such a killer movie.

Noooooo! I was enjoying the book until the premise behind the poetry of "dark matter" is that it's defined as a "new form of matter "... I'm trying not to be so literal, buy the MC is a famous physicist.... ugh

I warmed back up to the story. It's fun. No where near the literary genius of NOtW, Patrick Rothfuss

Not sure I'm going to enjoy this LONG book... I give it another hour before DNF'ing it.

I can see what the author is doing with some very ambitious themes. I like her style very much so far.

I want this story to end... I CANNOT abandon it at 90%, but I so want to.

Scott Brick actually adds something to this story. What a great narrator.

Reading this book feels like a waste of time. I like it! It's enjoyable but has so little substance, it might actually have negative substance.

I know these characters are written to maximum levels of ridiculous, but the MC is pretty annoying. I hope he grows up before the end.
