Ha! A GI Joe cartoon reference. Digging Mr. Ball's writing, especially his dialog skills.

This guy is great with dialog.

The author speaks about evolution, through dialog or data, in several forms so far. For example "Devolve, "evolution of culture," "theory of...". It's annoying that the author speaks about evolution so authoritatively, yet has a layman's, or less, understanding.
It wouldn't bother me so much if he didn't use it so frequently, and if the audience wasn't YA...

I would have found this book deep when i was 16 years old.

Who let Tavia Gilbert narrate this audiobook? She slaughtered Scalzi's book. She has zero comedic timing. Whe also sounds completely disinterested in this book. What a hugely disappointing performance.

I love how Stross disassembles current assumptions of social values, and slowly but relentlessly addresses them with surgical logic. In the context of a Good sci-fi story. Like a clockmaker's meticulous work.

Really digging this book's intellectualism after a stream of easy/fun reads.

Does not work well as a standalone. I put too much time between book 3 and 4... so this large sprawling population of characters is confusing.
