This guy wrote an addictive story. The characters are great.

Each of the point of view characters have an antagonistic narrator in their head, and it's, it's kind of annoying if that's just how this author writes, but yeah, also holding out hope that there is a plot reason that there's extra voices in all these characters' heads.

This is a really wonderful mix of old school sci. Fi and new school sci, fi, I guess.

I don't know if it's because I literally just finish a george rr martin book.But this premise and prose seem... stupid

I never thought I would come back to this book, but here I am and only a few chapters in and... his writing just puts all other storytellers to shame. He's really a master. What a talented author.

Eh my opinion has improved but only a bit. There's a big universe in this story, but we focus only on the struggle of a kid thief and his master.. nothing magical just "what's his opinion of me today" type stuff. Yawn.

Definitely not finishing this one. This will work really great as a animated series or something, but in book format it just yeah, does not work.

This is like new episodes of futurama. The stories are silly, but i'm just glad that the characters are back for more.

Reading john marr's books is similar to reading stephen king..
He's quite prolific and writes simply and ranges between lackluster and fascinating... unfortunately, this book is closer to the lackluster side of the scale.

Something that's really clear in this book is that mars has no idea how to write a good child character. And if i'm playing devil's advocate, I would say that that is definitely not an easy feet to get down correctly. So i'm not really holding it against him.But yeah, these children characters are written like weird, little drunk adults.

This really is not as good as his other books. It just feels like A. Normal paint bank numbers.Person gone missing book... and that genre has been done to death in the last ten years. Many of mars's other books have some sort of sci fi or speculative fiction twist, but this one it's absent from

I'm rereading this because I don't remember it.Fully... but also, because this book feels like it was custom written for me with the gay themes and the dryid themes

Yeah, this is not nearly as interesting as his other books in this series.

The magic of his previous books are a focus on believable events and stories for a class of people who went unwritten in history..
A k a peasants. But this new book is just retelling some very well documented.Historical events. So i'm not learning nearly as much or engaged with the text as much, because who feels like a history lesson.

The enhanced audio is a bit too gory in places.

I will say something weird is that the author is chosen to put the standard generic pronoun as female instead of the typically accepted male pronouns for and on assigned person... Just because of the way english works... I finally just broke down and bought it.And it's really quite entertaining and written very well.

This is becoming one of my favorite series.

And bef9re graphic audio i dismissed this book. G.a. is such a great company.

Graphic audio has made this quest story so fuckin good. I want a TV show adaption so much.

And yes I can see why, now, this book gets recommended in lgbt book circles. There's some sub text of hadrian and royce loving each other. And even another lord was openly admiring hadrians body lol. That was cool.

It's just a series of yeah, randomly unimportant side quests, which is not to say that it's a weak story. But yeah, it's not overly exciting and diverse in plot and unexpected things, but it is performed.Oh so perfectly.

It's certainly well written and yeah, I do always enjoy, will wheatons, narration.

But something about the questions make it a little uninteresting for me. I mean, they're all really crazy off the cuff wild scenarios, so that should be interesting... but none of it is grounded in reality, so i'm having trouble really getting the point.
