The Hexologists
I'm very Close to abandoning this read. The super descriptive flowery language of the author combined with the terrible pronunciation, how the narrator..... Also where's all the hexing???? It's literally the title of the book and I can recall maybe two maybe three direct hexes. Disappointing.

It's like the narrator had never held a human conversation beyond small talk to buy groceries.
She can't pronounce basic words correctly. Her mangling b of Tearing, shallot, & behemoth ate memorable. There are more, too. I think she's also saying the mc wrong Isolde (she's saying Iz-Old).

This narrator is awful and mispronouncing quite a few words. Including "tearing"

1984: An Audible Original adaptation
So well acted. This audio drama should be listened to by many people I know.

Narrator is reading something in a tone. That is not what the author intended. I'm sure of it.

Well written, but i guessed the twist very early. Good Marrs, but not best Marrs.

First half of the book much better than last half. Ionee is just a device to wrap up the story. So it feels too neat or something. Still I'll miss this series amd the characters.

Another minor criticism. The books mail characters are all basically castrated. There are no male characters to root for. Theyre all villains, sidelined, weird, mentally ill, etc... i really liked David from the 1st 2 books.

I gotta tell ya, this action scene is going on for way way way too long. It feels like a comic book climax, which is great and cool.. just I'm not into action scenes, so I always tune out accidentally.

I will say that some of the villains are the little cartoonish. There's a bit of a little lack of complex city... However there is a large cast so I understand that that can be limiting. Bye some of the people make comments like "eww How could you let foreigners into your country"... That's obviously a caricature and slightly tacky.

A lot of representation in this book. I do appreciate representation but it is quite a lot here. And all that representation and no actual gay guy.... Like every race religion and sexuality except no gay guy.... Which is specifically the one I like.

I miss books like this. Where the prose isn't in the way, and the plots and characters aren't confusing. Only a fun story remains. This is good fantasy.

It's hard to get into... Because there's a lot of exposition, the narrator, I believe, changed some voices. Heck, it's been years, and there's a lot of characters in this book that I don't remember.

Well here's the thing. It's not that you driest history book i've read...
But something with the title that this has should have so loudly speculate on what life would be like. And many hold england I mean come on.

So is the main character crazy or what. Curious if it says condition and all the bills, or if the premises that I'll be, we're things are actually happening.

Really enjoying this book. Some very amateur narration though. Maybe it will improve in the next books.

Also. How will humans capitalize on a life-after-death simulation if it supposedly is limitless resources... besides computer processing time.

I enjoy the writing. It's tight. Concise. Not too much detail to focus on or draw my attn from the main plot.
I also like James Marsters' narration. I've heard people dislike his mouth noises, but it's just that he's in character. It works.
