I tried and abandoned this book earlier in the year. But just picked it back up. I am enjoying it but also very curious When it will get to a very interesting part.

I'm really enjoying the way it's written.

2023 reread! I don't recall this story at all. But i noticed this time that the narrator changed from book 1. The previous narrator was very good.

I just realized that this is the same plot as that show that I loved from 2000. It was called the room and it was about magic objects... the are a ton od similarities. And i love it

Haha an alien talk show host named tucker, and is clearly ripping in tucker carlson. It's so obvious and so perfect. LOVE.

Very enjoyable. I wish there was a little more... something. Sometimes i feel like the author jumps ahead before my brain is ready

Great writing style!

Impressed with how well this is written. A little concerned that the plot is going into angsty teenage girl mode.

The story is got great pacing and is fairly engaging and easy to follow. The character biddy is written inconsistently. Sometimes a very naive teenager sometimes a very wise adult. The other thing that bugs me is that the story's focusing too much on personal relationships of these people. I could love to see actual magic and action instead of just interpersonal relationships.

A vegan homeless guy I mean come on....

Despite this being centuries in the future it may be sparing races, There's a real sense of current day sensibilities and sling.

It's 1st person, and the brother's intentions are so well written!

This is written so well! This author is someone to watch.

Completely relatable feelings in alien situations. It's funny.

Some aspects reflect keenly on what growing up gay feels like. But not in a direct way.

A very standard lit rpg book. With one new twist on the genre. The lead appears to be bisexual, which I'm enjoying.

There are literally zero scifi or fantasy elements. This is all noir mystery. Character driven plot. Well written dialog and master class characters! Although the book isn't grabbing me. It's not a me-book, I guess, but i can recognize the authors skill!

The pacing seems different. Better. The jokes are... easier? For lack of better words. I'm glad I'm n reading Discworld in order of publication.

So this is a book about getting super powers from an object from outer space. However the author chooses to focus on some family drama in a small town. Wtf. Why would you do this.

Very enjoyable writing. Granny Weatherwax has certainly changed from the last novel lol. I like this hardened version.

This author has a serious case of twitter-brain.

I'm on book 4 of Discworld. Between book three and this one, it has totally cured me of my reading slump.
