Is this book a lot better or are the narrators just mor talents?

So at the very end, we finally got away from the endless action scenes right out of a.video ggame. It's getting much more interesting with the addition of synric and honey.

Some very good storytelling. Also some storytelling that goes too fast. I think there's a significant flashback? Not sure really.

This narrator is really fkn good!

Eh. This is more cyberpunk-anesthetic than it is cyberpunk.

The book focuses on the cyberpunk things that are less important to the genre.

This is actually a very boring book. The prolog made it seem like it will be fantastic and magical. But it's just a series of conversations between this lady and her friends and husband and mother in law

2023 re-read. Boring start, but the novelty picks up pretty quick
Enjoying it. Although i don't know the genders of the characters due to Wesley's narration.

Finally an explanation of the events. It is satisfying though.

The tone is so bleak. Author was in a grim mood. Good story though

This is close to becoming a DNF.. Because there is no organization. It jumps from king Louis the fourteenth to world war 1 to ancientrome.

There's a lack of depth to the writing. So its good and descriptive and enjoyable. It checks all the boxes for stories i like...but something isnt clicking totally.

I like how this is written. Clear, non flowery language. Engaging dialog.

It's been pretty dull for the last 100 pages or so... It could be really interesting but there's too much of a mish mash of elements in genre here.

Ya, it's cool and such a cool world. But there's too much... ambiguity? Between the chapters and sentences. Something isnt gluing it together... maybe me lol

Still, quite a fun read, but the characters are not written well. They all have the same voice. Even the 7-year-old African slave boy from 1550s speaks in the same voice as a 2022 gay man from London.

The caroline character is quite unbelievable... bad character design. But still a lot of e joyable parts of the bookz.

Love the low brow humor thrown in here and there.

Only complaint is the book is a little too long.

What a completely engaging story. There is not a lot of magic or mysticism like I usually like in my stories. But this author really created a fasdenading little scenario.
