The character Silver is a fae, and I guess a D&D player would characterize him as "Chaotic Neutral". Very well written. I love ohw devilish his machinations are.

I'm not sure if this "sleep" narrative style is due to the narrator or the author. There are certainly scenes that are very dramatic and exciting. But they kinda meander on by. I'm guessing it's due to narration that I'm not loving.

The writing is a little sleepy for lack of better word. If I didn't like the subject so much I would find it boring I think.

This author is clearly very skilled and very experienced and writing. I'm not crazy about the plot development yet but I'll give it time.

Seems like an interesting setup... it's a very short book, so it's nice that there's no long build-up. It goes right into the action.

Been a very long time since I enjoyed a YA series this much.

There's really no depth of characters, no complexity to the plot, no grey-morality. It's just an enjoyable fantasy book with do-gooder kids that have magic powers.

I'm enjoying it. Not sure if I'll continue series. It is a bit too "YA".
