Okay, so the cover of this one is supposed to be Griffin? 'Cause while this guy is pretty damn cute - gawd that hair! - the image just doesn't look like how I imagined him. (The original cover for Book 1 does, however, and I only just saw that.) Honestly, this guy is reminds me of a better dressed Hobbit. Just sayin'.

Jeezus this book is So. Fucking. Boring. I mean, it's got so many points that remind me of Firefly and...blah. I really don't give a shit. That is how boring it is. (Either that or hell froze over and since there was no snow when I looked outside...boring.)

Stephen just needs to move to Shanghai with Crane; I'm sure he'd find work there with his talents. I admire his dedication to ensuring justice but not to the point where it consumes him and/or he neglects everything/everyone else in his life. That's not healthy...

Already loving the Class distinction. So many ways to show the differences between the Haves and the Have-Nots...and it's not always about what people own or their money but how that privilege of birth can benefit them in ways a poorer person would kill for.

Ugh. I'm already sensing that this won't be my cuppa. The MC has what amounts to a common-law spouse (15 years!) but he's going to end up with the parents' neighbor. I wonder if the BF cheats or they just drift apart as the MC falls for someone else? Gawd I hope they break up first; infidelity can advance a story but it always makes me itchy - like, if I were the new guy I'd think, "Can *I* trust him not to cheat?"

I'm supposed to be reading this for the Members Choice challenge but I keep getting side-tracked by the longer books & other installments sometimes referenced in (or a part of) these stories!!

Moving this back to the TBR shelf for now. I read a few chapters and it just didn't grab me the way other mostly-feline shifter books have (especially not like the Charlie Cochet THIRDS novels did). I'll start it again soon, I'm sure...there's quite a few installments and I usually appreciate that in a series.

I can't help but wonder if Kiernan has seen Brad and doesn't know how to tell Matt.

Hey guys! It's Bi-Day! Celebrate with me by reading a book about a Bi character or a Bi author.

This is a pretty good Whodunit; I've only an idea about the murderer but I'm hoping we get more background so I can see if I'm correct. (Not the dad, but maybe one of the people he wasn't able to successfully defend - one of their family members, maybe? - or someone he's currently defending.)

Oh damn. I worried about this happening, and it's painful to think about: being new to the scene and pressured to perform - not just take pleasure in each other.
