Right. So, you know how you read a book by co-authors and you think that maybe it's a collaboration as a whole? Yeah, I'm not overly fond of that. THIS? OMFG I can tell right away that we have two MCs with two PsOV and it's written by two different authors. I'm only one paragraph into the second POV so I'm not sure who wrote what character yet but I can tell this is one I'm going to love for the distinction alone. <3

Ah fuck. I just finished one title by an author I feel is a hit or miss (that book was a distinctive miss) and now I realize I have to read 2 more for this challenge. *sigh* God, I need to pay more attention to the books listed in these things so I don't have to keep torturing myself...

It should have been a given that I would gravitate toward mysteries/whodunit/crime novels in audiobooks when I consider my unholy obsession with all things televised with a procedural edge. Every CSI plus L&O...any FBI show or missing persons plot...and an addiction to Investigation ID - makes me laugh to think it took me this long to realize it.

This was one wild and crazy ride. Sweetly romantic w/lovers sharing anonymous 1st kisses than 10 years earlier, a more than enthusiastically supportive grandmother spreading love everywhere and a detour into WTF-land via hit men determined to settle a centuries old score. If I wasn't worried I'd keel over from heart failure, THIS is the world I wished I lived in...with Nana blowing up kitchens & handing out lube.

Holy hell...I think I'd sell body parts to be at a party like that.

I needed a 2010 book for a stacker challenge and this one happens to be the highest rated in my TBR shelf for that year. I haven't been all that eager to read it, despite having a BUNCH of sequels - which normally makes me giddy - and since other books I held off reading have been really good I've decided to go ahead and give this one a whirl, too. I'll read the first chapter and then put the rest off 'til 2mrrw.

Okay, gonna start this one for the Member Choice challenge. KA has been hit or miss for me so, eh, I'm going to go lay down and read. If I fall asleep then it's no big deal and I can pick it up later on tomorrow. If I don't then it was enticing enough to read a few chapters. Either way, progress.

Argh, I wish there was some way to program my phone to just stop playing an audio book after it detects no movement for like, 5 minutes or something. I mean, crap. I can't lay down listening because if I fall asleep it just keeps on going and either I wake up in the middle of another book or (worse) I only snooze a few and get spoiled for what happens in later chapters. Gah!

Seriously, Nana is AMAZING. And embarrassing to a horrifying extent...no filter. OMG.

I do so very much like audio books that make me laugh...the wary looks of family and strangers as I cackle like a loon while listening in public are simply priceless!

Okay. Yeah...I'm not overly fond of the ACTUAL howling and dog noises. So, that's the only truly awkward sounds I've come across in a narration.

Oh man, I hope Roman is the focus of one of the other two books in this series...

Oh god, having your mother try to discuss Puppy Play has GOT to be one of those things that cause strokes. *dies*

Oh. My. God. "What if he...gets you neutered?" This book is one hell of a workout for my abs. I haven't laughed so hard in a few weeks - and I didn't know how much I needed it!

OMG...the way Tim is treating Lance, thinking of him as "just" a dog, and Lance's thoughts on the matter is ridiculously hilarious.

Okay, so that specifically is NOT a thing. But *snort* there is bacon flavored lube. And I love Greg's deadpan delivery of that whole scene. (Who am I kidding? I love Greg, period.)

*spit-take* Oh. My. Gawd. "Bacon Flavor Booty Butter" Is that an actual thing? I need that to be an actual thing. I'm checking to see if that's an actual thing...

*face/palm* Nanna is my spirit animal. When I get to that age, I can only hope I'm that shameless.

Oh, poor Percival. I know it's not what those notes make it appear to be; it can't be - unless it is and Griffin planned their involvement and then was caught unaware by an emotional attachment.

Huh...I've been terribly spoiled by the delicious accuracy and fluidity of the accents voiced by Tristan and Greg in the audio books I've listened to. Griffin's Irish brogue was discordant and yanked me right out of the narration. I hope it either gets better or isn't a need for it again.

Shoulda Woulda Coulda...seems like life is a series of those.
