Jess - it is really a prequel to the Dark Hunter series as Julian knows the first Dark Hunter, Kyrian, in Night Pleasure. The Dark Hunter books are much better than Fantasy Lover. I'm happy I read book 2 first as I never would have continued if I started with Fantasy Lover.

5)Angels' Blood by Nalini Singh {Guild Hunter #1} 4/15/10♥♥♥♥♥(It was great.I loved how loyal Elena was to her friends & even to the people who deserved it the least.And Raphael?I've never thought of angels in a sexual way but Raphael is pure lust on a stick.Other than that,I enjoyed the humor & the whole "You scare the living hell out of me but I still want to bone ya" thing they had going on.Defintely reading Archangel's Kiss next.)

7)Hearts at Stake by Alyxandra Harvey {Drake Chronicles #1}4/7/10♥♥1/2(This is basically like Evernight minus the school & only a bit better.I liked the family dynamics but I never found the romance between Lucy & Nicholas(they've known each other for years but all of a sudden he starts kissing her like crazy?) or Solange & Kieran( they honestly didn't spend enough time together for him to suddenly fall madly in love with someone he before now hated) believable).
8)Night Shift by Lilith Saintcrow{Jill Kismet #1}4/6/10♥♥♥♥♥(I loved it. Saintcrow even made me feel sympathetic for the villains,who killed people gruesomely,no less.Thats saying something.Will definitely follow through with the rest of this series)
