Lots more steampunk, still funny, CRAZY ending. 4 stars.
2. Succubus Shadows (Georgina Kincaid, #5) by Richelle Mead Review
I'm totally irritated with this series. I have no respect for Georgina, and I hate how painfully obvious the series resolution seems to be. 3 stars.
3. Mercy Thompson: Homecoming (Mercedes Thompson, prequel) by Patricia Briggs Review
I liked the story and most of the artwork, but their renditions of Mercy did nothing for me. 3.5 stars.
4. Rosemary and Rue (October Daye, #1) by Seanan McGuire Review
Mediocre. This consists of Toby getting injured over and over, not following clues so much as having the answers fall into her lap. I like my heroines clever. Toby's not. 2.5 stars.
5. Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill Review
I like Merit, the world offers a plethora of possibilities, and there was a lot of witty dialogue. Overall, a great first novel. 3.75 stars.
6. The Summoning (Darkest Powers, #1) by Kelley Armstrong
7. Vampire Academy (VA, #1) by Richelle Mead Review
I do not like Rose. I do not care what happens to the characters. I'm sorta hoping Strigoi take over the world. Evil FTW! 3 stars.
8. Blood Rites (Dresden Files, #6) by Jim Butcher Review
I love Harry. I should have read this one sooner, since he's broken my mediocre-book slump! Lots of answers and plot twists in this one--and a psychotic lil puppy! 4 stars.

10. Defending Angels (Beaufort & Co., #1) by Mary Stanton Review
The fantasy elements are choppy, but the concept has a lot of potential. A blend of cozy mystery and the paranormal. 3.5 stars.

April Series Challenge
10/10 - Done!!!

Had to switch Radiant Shadows out for Full Moon Rising - Library issues again. I didn't mind because I've been thinking about reading this series for a while anyway. I enjoyed the plot & I liked Riley as a character, she was definitely entertaining. The werewolf culture was interesting to say the least but I didn't like how she threw herself at every willing male, regardless of the moon's pull & I didn't like how easily she accepted insinuations of her being a slut without defending herself when she did feel like one, because she obviously felt uncomfortable with it. I'll probably continue the series because I did enjoy the plot line, but still only 3 stars worth so far.

Lots more steampunk, still funny, CRAZY ending. 4 stars.
2. Succubus Shadows (Georgina Kincaid, #5) by Richelle Mead Review
I'm totally irritated with this series. I have no respect for Georgina, and I hate how painfully obvious the series resolution seems to be. 3 stars.
3. Mercy Thompson: Homecoming (Mercedes Thompson, prequel) by Patricia Briggs Review
I liked the story and most of the artwork, but their renditions of Mercy did nothing for me. 3.5 stars.
4. Rosemary and Rue (October Daye, #1) by Seanan McGuire Review
Mediocre. This consists of Toby getting injured over and over, not following clues so much as having the answers fall into her lap. I like my heroines clever. Toby's not. 2.5 stars.
5. Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill Review
I like Merit, the world offers a plethora of possibilities, and there was a lot of witty dialogue. Overall, a great first novel. 3.75 stars.

7. Vampire Academy (VA, #1) by Richelle Mead Review
I do not like Rose. I do not care what happens to the characters. I'm sorta hoping Strigoi take over the world. Evil FTW! 3 stars.

I love Harry. I should have read this one sooner, since he's broken my mediocre-book slump! Lots of answers and plot twists in this one--and a psychotic lil puppy! 4 stars.
9. Kiss Of Death (Morganville Vampires, #8) by Rachel Caine Review
Not the best Morganville has to offer, but still suspenseful. I hope Caine comes up with a new arc soon so the series doesn't stagnate. 3.5 stars.
10. Defending Angels (Beaufort & Co., #1) by Mary Stanton Review
The fantasy elements are choppy, but the concept has a lot of potential. A blend of cozy mystery and the paranormal. 3.5 stars.

Lover Mine was about love and closure and John Matthew! There was more focus on the romance in this book compared to the last two in the series. The story of John and Xhex was just wonderful: emotional, exciting and HOT. It might just be the hottest book in the series to date!
The secondary plot revolved about Qhuinn and Blay! What can I say? Oh my God! Very emotional.
Another great bit: Lash. He was amazing. Love (to hate) him.
The reasons listed above and the fact that this book was about John Matthew made me give this book 4,5 stars.
Cause there was quite some sloppy writing, bad editing and loose threads which irritated me.

That being said: I can’t wait for the next book!
