I loved most of the Diana Palmers, loved Kinsale, but my reread of Brandewyne was a little disappointing... Oh, and I loved Howard in

Oh it's fabulous!!! And Daisy made Alex work for it:-D LOVED it:-)

I also loved the tiger parts too!!

Just finished for Firstreads review: Charlie Finley: The Outrageous Story of Baseball's Super Showman by G. Michael Green and Roger D. Launius which wasn't very good unless you're the kind of baseball fanatic who reads and cares about the backs of baseball cards.
To treat myself afterwards, I had to go to Borders to pick up five romances. I just read and loved Kate Douglas'

I wonder if I'll sleep tonight (tee hee hee).
Now I'm excited because the public library website tells me that my turn for

Mollie - [book:Lover Mine|7046495] is just awesome ! Only surpassed by Lover Awakened in my opinion.
Wow, Melanie. You might be close to being caught up on Diana Palmer. I see some of my faves in there. How was Alaska?
Mollie, I was thrilled to pick up my copy of Water Bound yesterday at Target. :)

Alaska was gorgeous, although kind of remote (which isn't always a bad thing I guess, lol):-) And I couldn't go running along the fjord in the mornings, because of all the bears, which was interesting:-D
My fave DP for the moment is probably

Wow. That sounds great. I would love to visit Alaska someday. That's pretty good statistics if you only disliked 5% of the DP books you read. That's probably on par with my experience with her books.

I disliked even more of them. My quibble is that some of her heroes are so tortured emotionally that the heroine's redemption of them seems unbelievable to me. I stopped reading Diana Palmer for a while, but will probably go back again one day, she's addictive.
Currently re-reading

I'm addicted to her the way some others are Palmer or Kleypas.
I read some Nora Roberts growing up, but I never caught onto her as a favorite. No offense to anyone. I'd like to read her In Death series, though.
I like Diana Palmer because I like the angsty feel to her stories. I love damaged characters. Some of her guys are too mean, but usually they grovel very well and I can look past their bad behavior because of that or why they are that way.
I think it's great that we all have our go-to authors. I bet that most of the negatives about my authors that I love, I can agree with those who don't like them about. But, I either like them for that reason, or I don't mind their shortcomings because their strengths make up for them in other ways.

That's it for me too:-D I also didn't get hooked on Nora Roberts, although I love her JD Robb's In Death series..
Molly - They might sometimes be unrealistic, but for me that's part of the fun:-D I love all the angst, so that makes up for any unrealism, lol.. And like you said, she is addictive:-D
Read

I am still reading Mr. Perfect, hopefully tomorrow, I should be finished with the book. I would finish it tonight, but I don't feel like reading it.

Romantic Times magazine has a rare 4 1/2 Gold rating that they award less than once a year. One of the series (Celebration in Death?) got it. I'm sure they have a website if anyone wants specifics.
I got a copy but have not read it yet. I read the first four of the series and decided that I'm not much for Mysteries, I prefer Romances!

which shows it pays to request books from the library before their official release date.

I adored it, like John, love Tohr, and stayed up late to finish it and now I'm running late this morning :P The way the author defines Hellren and Shellan in her preface list of definitions and the way she devoted so much time to Tohr's backstory gives me hope that the next book will be about Tohr (and me... LOL).
About to begin the newest Dragonriders of Pern story

I think that the nature of grief is that eventually it lessens. We never forget our loved ones who are gone, but I'm sure that Wellsie would be the first to tell Tohr that she wants him to live life to its fullest. I bet survivor's guilt is a powerful plot element when Ward chooses to explore T's story.
If No-One could be resurrected because she was guiltless in her death, why couldn't Wellsie? How about the baby? Ward has opened a real can of worms here.
And who the heck is Manny?

As far as grief and all that... I don't want him to be alone here, but I don't want Wellsie and their son having to share him with another female in the Fade for eternity.

All The Queen's Men was my first book by Linda Howard. John had captured my heart in that book. I can't wait to see how he first came about.
