Hooray! I think Lev is to die for."
I was worried about this book because of some reviews, but I'm glad I bought it anyway! Loved Lev and Rikki! Can't wait for the next in the series
I loved Water Bound! I'm currently reading
.
Thanks for the info on cousin marriage, ladies. Pretty interesting.

I think I'll re-read some of her Harmony series written as Jayne Castle in preparation for the new one coming out in a week and a half. In the meantime, I've got to read my library books before they turn into pumpkins.
About to start

Next will probably be

Carol, I haven't read anything by her before, but so many people in this group seem to enjoy her work that I've checked two out of the library:

I think you will really like her books. I recently read 'Sugar Daddy' as well which is the first book in her Travis series of contemporary romances. I am going to read the other two, 'Blue-Eyed Devil' and 'Smooth Talking Stranger'.
I do prefer her historical novels and 'Mine Till Midnight' is the first book in the Hathaway series which I absolutely loved. You need to read them in order to fully appreciate the series. The others in order are:
Seduce Me At Sunrise
Tempt Me At Twilight
Married by Morning
Love in the Afternoon
If you become an addict like so many of us, you might want to check out the 'We Love Lisa Kleypas' Group.

Aren't those really hard to find? I've been looking for them! :-)"
Yes, I think they are out of print now.

[bookcover:..."
My library doesn't have the Demonica series either, but the weird thing is is that they do have the first three Sydney Croft books (but not the last two, which drives me crazy)! Seems like if they have one, they should have the other, seeing as Sydney Croft is partly Larissa Ione...

Could be, could be. I already own every romance written by Nora Roberts , as well as those by Jayne Ann Krentz/Amanda Quick/Jayne Castle/Samantha James. Does this indicate an addictive personality? LOL
A new experience for me this week, I had to give one star to

Today I'm re-reading

Frankly, I really didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped I would, and I'm glad I didn't buy the next two books ... I found the characters seriously lacking in depth: I felt no connection to either heroine or hero, and the whole plot with her fiancé seemed contrived...
***SPOILER ALERT***
The worst for me was when the heroine loses her virginity: they're on a hunt, the hero/heroine slip away to a cabin in the woods, and not 5 minutes inside, and he's slipping into her.. The whole act, including (lack of) foreplay didn't last 7 minutes!!! seriously????
Sorry, I'm just disappointed in this book, especially after reading Lisa Valdez or even Jess Michaels!
Not something I would particularly recommend, which is unfortunate because the three brothers really are hot:-) 2 stars

Melanie, I felt the same way about

Last night I finished

Will probably dive in to some more Dark-Hunters or some Kleypas next, as I've got to get them back to the library.
I'm currently reading nonfiction:

Melanie that sounds painful and uncomfortable. Yikes!
Noelle, I loved A Hunger Like No Other. That seems to be a love it or hate it book for a lot of readers.

Thanks for calling this author to my attention. I'm not too fond of historicals, but I see that she also writes a contemporary series and her ratings are usually above 4, so I'm going to give her a try.
Pamela Clare

The nonfiction book

Last night and this morning, to avert the temptation to read more of Mine Till Midnight, I read a couple of erotic romance anthologies:

I'd like to see what you think of "Kiss of the Rose" I've had my eye on that one.

Well I can tell that I'm going to love it too. I just read

Along with

Don't forget that today was the release date of

Mollie, I read
, and it was very good. I admit I am more of a historical girl, except for paranormal and Harlequin/Silhouette, or ones with dangerous/edgy heroes and action, so I prefer her historicals. I was pretty impressed, all the same.

I'm reading

Dangerous heroes lovers, I've been waiting a long time for someone to swap

I am also reading

Me too, last week I got Dracula and Frankenstein in preparation for a horror challenge on another site. I found most of the freebies to be books in a series (they're hoping to get me to buy the rest of the series) or mediocre erotic novellas (don't waste your time on most of the Naughty Nooners, they're even shorter than novellas in anthologies).

Thanks for the warning Mollie! Mine Till Midnight is waiting for me at the library and I had no idea about the pre-reads! Gah! More waiting now!
Anywho...still working my way through the Bridgertons by Julia Quinn and loving every second of it. On Francesca's book and loving it, of course. SO SAD right now! Can't WAIT for the romance to start!! ;)

What genre?

I loved 'When He Was Wicked' and I thought Michael Stirling was just yummy. The romance is definitely worth waiting for!

Read

Gotcha. Well, I've downloaded nearly all the romance ones.
Currently reading Lynn LaFleur's book I found at half price books, I'm not enjoying it much because it's more erotic tease than story substance. What's wrong with a plot and some character growth, Lynn?

The writing is good, the terrorist storyline starts in book 1 and goes through book 3 rather than each book having its own. It's like 1 long story broken into 3 books.
There is quite a bit of sex in them, and it happens at unlikely times, like when the hero and heroine who are running for their lives, literally, find a place to rest for a couple hours from the bad guys who are right on their tails, but if you don't mind that, you ought to give them a try.
Hope that helps!

Starting

The Lynn LaFleur book I was reading is one for everyone to avoid, a poor excuse for a novel. Then I read a Lunewulf book by Lorie O'Clare called In Her Blood which wasn't much better.
Now I've dived into Lisa Kleypas' Wallflowers, read the first one yesterday and ran right back to the library today for this one.

I've put in requests for the next two, as my branch doesn't have them. I requested both the regular and the large print version so as to have a better chance of getting them quick!
