Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments I've begun A Rush of Wings (The Maker's Song, #1) by Adrian Phoenix , I like the heroine but I'm having trouble seeing where the author is going with the worldbuilding.

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 474 comments Just finished The Passage by Justin Cronin and would definately recommend it.

Am now stuck I don't whether to read Sinful by Charlotte Featherstone or Whitechapel Gods (Whitechapel, #1) by S.M. Peters or Three Little Secrets (MacLachlan Family Series) by Liz Carlyle

Yes, Sinful, just because of the Cover!
Stopped in the public library today, they finally had Love in the Afternoon (The Hathaways, #5) by Lisa Kleypas for me, I dropped everything else to start it.

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 474 comments *seethes in jealousy* I want to read those books!

I was going to pick Sinful, but I have to take it to work and it says Erotic Novel at the front of my copy, so I decided against it and settles for Whitechapel Gods (Whitechapel, #1) by S.M. Peters instead

Finished Knitting Lessons by Lela Nargi , back to Bram Stoker and the Man Who Was Dracula by Barbara Belford

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 474 comments Lol are you having trouble with the Bram Stocker book Mollie?

message 1512: by Mollie *scoutrmom* (new)

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Suzanne wrote: "Lol are you having trouble with the Bram Stocker book Mollie?"

I read 20 pages then pick up some fiction or a memoir. I like the topic, but there is wa-a-a-a-ay too much detail given.
Currently LMAO in Stephanie Pearl-McPhee Casts Off by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee before going back to it.

message 1513: by Ruth (new)

I tried Whitechapel Gods and had to give that one up.

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 474 comments I can understand why, I am on about page 160 I think, it is just so hard to get into and then I find it a bit confusing as he doesn't really explain anything clearly. Which is a shame as I really like the idea and I LOVE the cover!

message 1521: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments I agree with you, the cover is fantastic.

message 1526: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (kittiescardigansbooks) | 207 comments Just finished Wicked Intentions (Maiden Lane, #1) by Elizabeth Hoyt and really liked it. Lord Caire is definitely a dangerous hero with some interesting predelictions not generally seen in a historical romance...

message 1527: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments Just started Bayou Moon (The Edge, #2) by Ilona Andrews

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 474 comments OMG Darcy, when did you get that? Mine hasn't een been shipped yet!

message 1529: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments B&N starting shipping earlier this week. I have been stalking all the places to see who would have it first, so when they did, I immediately ordered and got it yesterday.

PS - I am about half way thru and it is really good so far.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments I'm on a Georgette Heyer kick. I just read two more...
April Lady by Georgette Heyer The Unknown Ajax by Georgette Heyer

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 474 comments I am glad to hear it is good Darcy I guess I will have to wait for Amazon to ship it, not too long to go now!

I have just finished The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie (Highland Pleasures, #1) by Jennifer Ashley which was brilliant! How could you not love the Mackenzies!

Amanda (kittiescardigansbooks) | 207 comments Just finished The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie (Highland Pleasures, #1) by Jennifer Ashley and LOVED it! So amazing! Can't wait to read Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage by Jennifer Ashley , but it's checked out at the library! I knew I should've checked it out last week...

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 474 comments Me too Amanda wasn't it great?! I think Isbella and Mac's story is going to be just as good *fingers crossed*

message 1536: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (kittiescardigansbooks) | 207 comments It's gotten pretty good reviews, so I'm hoping it'll be good! If it's even close to being as good to the first I'm sure I'll love it! I just want more information about Isabella and Mac's history. The first book is such a tease!

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 474 comments I read the back of Isabella and Mac's book before I realized it was part of a series, and I wan't too sure about it, but now having read the first book I cannot wait to read it. They gave you hints about them but I want to know what happened!! Like you said Jennifer Ashley is being a book tease!

message 1538: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (kittiescardigansbooks) | 207 comments I was the same way about not being sure about the book. I read the blurb, and I'm generally not a fan of married couples being seperated for a long time and realizing they are meant for each other - usually one of the characters did something horrendous, or they are just both being annoyingly stubborn (which after a certain point drives me crazy!) But after getting to know both characters in the first, I reread the blurb and it had a different meaning to me! Dying to read it!

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 474 comments That is how I felt aswell the whole lovers/spouses reunited storyline doesn't normally grab me, but they were both such great characters that I am now looking forward to it. I do get the feeling though that Mac did something horrendous! I have never read anything by Jennifer Ashley before either so I have also discovered a new author with quite a few books.

I love this series! Enjoy!

I've just read two more Georgette Heyers off my keeper shelf, my library books are crying in the background.

My editions are from the 1960's, so my covers don't match these:

Frederica by Georgette Heyer The Masqueraders (Harlequin Single Title) by Georgette Heyer

Suzanne (Under the Covers Book blog) | 474 comments BTW in case no one knows if you are in the US *grumbles* you can get Penelope & Prince Charming (Nvengaria, #1) by Jennifer Ashley free on Kindle.

Ugh! I have a Nook! Lame!

As for Mac, I feel like he was just an all around jackhole. From the reviews I read, it didn't seem like there was anything unforgivable done by either party. I do think he was a big drinker (based on the first book referencing that Mac never had alcohol) and maybe that had something to do with it. The suspense is killing me! I can't wait until the book is returned to the library!

Amanda, check out your B&N online. I think when a publisher releases a book as a freebie, they would probably do it through multiple sources, don'cha think?

message 1544: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (kittiescardigansbooks) | 207 comments I already checked and it's not free for the Nook. :(

I'm sorry. Does your public library have e-books? Mine has some, but I haven't yet been over there to learn how to borrow them.

I'm reading Song of the West (Silhouette Romance #143) by Nora Roberts

Mollie,

I don't know how your library have things set up, but for our library, we can check out ebooks by going to the library's site.

message 1548: by Love love (new)

Love love | 151 comments I just finished Skin Game (Skin, #1) by Ava Gray and now I'm reading the second book in the series, Skin Tight (Skin, #2) by Ava Gray and I'm really loving this series and boy are these H's some pretty dangerous heros.lol

message 1549: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (kittiescardigansbooks) | 207 comments @ Mollie - my library is the same as Arch's. It is all through the website - and it's super easy! I'll have to check and see if they've put any new titles there!

@ Noelle - I really liked both Skin Game and Skin Tight, although I think I preferred Skin Tight. Happy reading!

message 1550: by Love love (new)

Love love | 151 comments @Amanda- I have to agree with you on liking 'Skin Tight' even more than 'Skin Game'. I'm only just over halfway through it but I just feel so bad for Soren (aka Foster from Skin Game), revenge is all he has to live for, so far anyway. I kind of have it figured out how I want this story to end, I hope I'm right.lol
