Linda Has anyone ever used audible.com? I hear Prince Joe is now available for purchase and download and I have never done that?

Wondering how it would sound listening to Joe Cat instead of reading about him? Prince Joe

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Sorry Linda, no idea.. but Delicious Dee uses it over on RRRC:-)

Read The Lady in Question (Effingtons, #7) by Victoria Alexander in the afternoon, and enjoyed it very much:-) Loved how Tony gets jealous of Gordon:-) 4 stars... Then I just finished Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean which is now one of my all-time fave HR:-) Amazing book, and I can't wait to read Nick, Juliana and Benedick's stories!!!

message 1204: by Tammy (new)

Tammy Walton Grant (tamgrant) Just started Petals on the River but then my attention wandered...

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Just finished Thanksgiving by Janet Evanovich and have to run errands before I begin another.

message 1208: by Courtney (new)

Courtney (mrs_hf) | 164 comments Finished up Gentle Warrior (Tapestry Romance) by Julie Garwood this morning. I was a little surprised by how aggressive and sometimes mean Garwood let the hero get...she doesn't usually allow them to get that aggressive and at times it seemed a little much but the story is wonderful and, as usual with her, I got a little teary eyed at the end. *sigh*

Onward to go pick up The Duke And I (Bridgertons, #1) by Julia Quinn from the library!

Courtney, I think you'll love the Bridgerton series. I don't usually like historicals, but I loved these. Enjoy!

I just went to the bookstore and won a bet with DH... he thought there was no way I could walk out of there with only the book I went in for, I proved him wrong.

I just bought and blew through Nauti and Wild (Includes Wild Riders, #4) by Lora Leigh which was fantastic! I picked up Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World, #2) by Jeaniene Frost at the public library this morning so was able to restrain myself. Sizzling Sixteen is in transit, so I should be able to get it Monday or Tuesday. WOO HOO!

message 1210: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments I haven't read the first couple Bridgertons yet, although I have them.. I'll have to get around to them soon:-)

Reread Lord of Ice (Knight Miscellany, #3) by Gaelen Foley this afternoon, which I adore (5 stars to most of GF's books!), read The Bachelor (Chandler Brothers, #1) by Carly Phillips this evening (3.5-4 stars: it was cute, but didn't really have a plot..), and just finished Shut Up and Kiss Me by Christie Craig , my 2nd CG book... I love this author... Her books are sweet, funny and fun to read, and this one merits 5 stars for me:-) It even had some angst to it!

message 1211: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Read Too Much Temptation (Temptation Brothers, #1) by Lori Foster , my first Lori Foster, and I loved it (loved the whole curvy virgin heroine meets sexy experienced guy).. 4.5 stars:-) Now I'm starting Secret Life of Bryan by Lori Foster and A Certain Wolfish Charm (Westfield Brothers, #1) by Lydia Dare ... Completely different, but both seem like they'll be fun:-)

Courtney (mrs_hf) | 164 comments Mollie- You were SO right! Absolutely LOVED the book and immediately bought The Viscount Who Loved Me (Bridgertons, #2) by Julia Quinn on my Kindle because I could not wait for my turn at the library (I was "2 of 2 Holds" and that was utterly unacceptable!)!

I'm glad, I'm always happy when I come across a series I enjoy so that I can draw out the time of enjoyment.

Just finished Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World, #2) by Jeaniene Frost and plan to read it again from the beginning tomorrow.

Linda Before I start rereading Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #1) by J.R. Ward and The Unsung Hero (Troubleshooters, #1) by Suzanne Brockmann

Roarke - sigh - He is definitely in my top 3 - everyone should have a Roarke in their lives.......

They both have treated each other bad, because they didn't want the other to hurt them.

Mike is the one that likes to see himself have sex in the mirror, right?

Carol Cork *Young at Heart Oldie* (httpsrakesandrascalswordpresscom) I've just started reading Twilight (Twilight, #1) by Stephenie Meyer .

I can see why, without agreeing. I'd put him in my top 30, but there are characters I love more... like all the BDB males of worth and the Troubleshooters guys and the Breeds males and ....

message 1230: by Linda (new)

Linda What are the Breed Males?

message 1231: by Darcy (new)

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments Linda that is the Breed series by Lora Leigh. The first few books are mainly erotic, but then around #10 she moved to main stream books with longer plots, but still the sizzling sex. If you like shifter books check these out, although they aren't exactly shifters. The first book is Tempting the Beast.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Lora Leigh's Breeds series is one of my favorites.

I read Hidden Fire (Firefighters of Station Five, #3) by Jo Davis Line of Fire (Firefighters of Station Five, #4) by Jo Davis last night... Man those firefighters are haaaawt!!! Loved both the books:-) And I can't wait to read Sean&Eve, and Shane and Daisy's stories.. Oh, and that FBI agent Dominick.. I hope he gets one too:-D Yummy:-p

message 1238: by L' (last edited Aug 10, 2010 07:20AM) (new)

L' Te With the newest installment - Lover Mine (did not get to yet), for some unknown reason I decided to reread the series. The first three are just brilliant ... I had not realized prior how Ms. Ward demonstrates precision and intent for the casting of each character; as if she is placing each principle protagonist on a chess board. Each revelation denotes a practiced strategy toward her ultimate game of war. And her writing at the beginning was dark, witty, vibrant, and mesmerizing; and sprinkled throughout with a delicious wry humor. Second time around - Rhage got under my skin - pun not intended. What I did not pick up on before, is that the brother can not lie. True! And how cool is that ... Maybe I am just getting old, but I find lying not only irritating, but an insult. Rhage is real, and I have to admire and respect that. As I am finishing up Z's story, I remain as breathless and emotionally battered as I did prior. I truly bleed for this brother.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish *sigh* I have to say, Zsadist is still my top hero of any book I've ever read.

I love the Bridgertons too! My favorite is Romancing Mister Bridgerton, although they are all pretty up there on my list! Have you read anything by Stephanie Laurens or Sabrina Jeffries? I love them too - although Stephanie Laurens isn't as humerous as Julia Quinn. I love Devil's Bride by Laurens (actually the whole Cynster series, but Devil's Bride is my fave!)

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Last night I read Game for Anything (Bad Boys of Football, #1) by Bella Andre and kind of liked the story but didn't like the characters. (Your mileage may vary.) It's up on the swap here if anyone wants to try it.

Then I started River Of Fire (Fallen Angels, #6) by Mary Jo Putney but couldn't stay awake long enough to get very far. I love it so far.

message 1242: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Read The Stolen Bride (de Warenne Dynasty, #8) by Brenda Joyce by Brenda Joyce... I'd read Derek and Miranda Bragg's story a couple years ago and didn't like it at all (although I'd loved Storm Bragg and Brett's), so I was a little reluctant to read another BJ... She's still not my favorite author, and from what I gather, Sean isn't her typical hero, but I did enjoy Eleanor:-) 3.5-4 stars..

message 1243: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Read Tanner by Norah Hess last evening.. loved the book up till it petered out for the last 50 pages... WTF is up with Roxy forgiving Tanner so quickly? After the way he treated her I was expecting at least a couple chapters of groveling! 5 stars for the first three quarters, but then it goes down to 4 stars because of the ending... So 4*.

Read Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World, #2) by Jeaniene Frost and loved it (as I loved all of JF's books).. 5 stars
And I just finished Jude Deveraux's Wishes (Montgomery Saga, #11) by Jude Deveraux , and also loved this Cinderella story (although I didn't like Berni making Nellie lost the weight..).. I'm a fan of any Cinderella story, and this one was sweet and fun..4.5*

I was a little disappointed with the last quarter of Gaelen Foley's (too much Indiana Jones in a HR for me..) book, and Sealed with a Promise was a sweet contemp read.. 4 stars for both...
