I love For the Roses too. You're not alone, Courtney and Dhestiny!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish There was something just so... magical... in the family dynamic, the way they came together... and it shows that while blood is thicker than water, the family we CHOOSE can be so, so much more loving.

For The Roses is my favorite historical book. Cole Clayborne is my baby.

Courtney (mrs_hf) | 164 comments I love him! I'm all kinds of excited to read Come the Spring (Rose, #5) by Julie Garwood !! :D

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I haven't read CtS yet. I've heard it's no where as good as For The Roses, so I've put it off awhile.

Courtney,

I wasn't feeling Cole in Come The Spring, but that might be different for you.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Just read Foul Play by Janet Evanovich. It was silly and fun with no depth.
Foul Play by Janet Evanovich

Carol Cork *Young at Heart Oldie* (httpsrakesandrascalswordpresscom) I ordered Lover Mine (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #8) by J.R. Ward from Amazon yesterday.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Oooh, can't wait to hear what you think, Carol!

Carol Cork *Young at Heart Oldie* (httpsrakesandrascalswordpresscom) UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "Oooh, can't wait to hear what you think, Carol!"

I also ordered Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage (Highland Pleasures, #2) by Jennifer Ashley so if they both arrive at the same time, it will be a difficult choice to decide which one to read first. I think at the moment I am leaning towards 'Lover Mine'.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Both are winners, Carol. Of course, LM is more intense and edgy. Go with whatever will fit your mood.

Erica*aka* KHAOZ Flores (ladye78texas) | 21 comments I'm reading Covet (Fallen Angels, #1) by J.R. Ward but I have to admit it has been awhile since I read it . Just picked it again the other day & realized I was just on ch.3 last. Dont know just not feeling it yet. I so want to just get it over with b/c the second one is coming out & I dont want to be behind.. Signed;
So ashamed & torn

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I'm reading To Conquer a Highlander by Mary Wine . My only complaint is that we don't get to see what's under the kilt. What's up with that, anyway??

message 1064: by Mollie *scoutrmom* (new)

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments I'm reading Dead After Dark (Includes Dark-Hunter, Related Books #10) by Sherrilyn Kenyon by J.R. Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon et al. It's fantastic.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish What did you think of The Story of Son? I LOVED IT!

message 1066: by Mollie *scoutrmom* (new)

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "What did you think of The Story of Son? I LOVED IT!"

Definitely a winner. One didn't need to have read any of Ward's other work in order to enjoy it. This was not true of the other three stories, but I'd keep this one for Son alone.

Erica, a lot of WARDen's fans had trouble with Covet. Don't beat yourself up.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I agree with Lady D., Erica. It's different from the BDB world and it's ok if it's just not your thing. We can't all like everything, feel me?

I'm reading My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding (Includes Dark-Hunter Related Book, #4; Sookie Stackhouse, #6.1; The Dresden Files, #7.5) by P.N. Elrod ! Loving it!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I read the DH story from that book, Danielle! I've many more good stories in there, don't I? :)

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Currently re-reading Lorelei James' Rough, Raw and Ready (Rough Riders, #5) by Lorelei James . This time through I'm not so distracted by the love scenes and am getting more of the emotional side of the story.

Mom wants me to ask y'all if you can give her the title and author of a book she once read. The lead character is a woman named Poppy who is in a wheelchair, she makes her living running a telephone answering service. Sound familiar to anyone?

Well, I've read three so far, and loved all of them. I haven't made it to the SK story yet.

Hmm, Mollie. That doesn't sound familiar. Is it a Harlequin or Silhouette?

No, Mom doesn't read mass market romance. I did read a Silhouette with a character named Poppy, but that was not the book she had read.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Mollie, are you a member of the We Love Lisa Kleypas Group? If so, or if not, there's a thread there where you can post asking about the title for a book. You might have some luck there. Here's the link - Name That Book

Well Dhes - 'Lover Mine' arrived yesterday and so the decision as to what to read first was taken out of my hands. I am on Page 212 and so far this book is awesome.

This book was very hard for me to get into also. But I just kept on plucking away and finally finished it. I was very happy I did, I really started to enjoy it and now can't wait for the next book. There's just so much set up it seems to go on and on with endless detail after endless detail. I think this has potential to be a wonderful series. Just hang in there; it will be worth it in the end ;)

Not sure what I'll pick up next.

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments I finished Chains by Shiloh Walker earlier, great book with very strong alpha males. Just started Fragile (Rafferty, #1) by Shiloh Walker , about half way through and this one is good too.

message 1088: by Tammy (new)

Tammy Walton Grant (tamgrant) I just had to put down Burn by Linda Howard - either I'm in a really bad mood, or this book just isn't very good!

I'm starting Captive Bride by Johanna Lindsey

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Courtney, I loved those books!!! Connor's story is next :)

I'm reading Unlawful Contact (I-Team, #3) by Pamela Clare now. She does RS every bit as good as she does HR, maybe even better.

Just started Skin Tight (Skin, #2) by Ava Gray

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Oooh, how is it, Mollie? I read Skin Game a few weeks ago, need to get to Skin Tight

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I'm finishing up Unlawful Contact (I-Team, #3) by Pamela Clare and it's sooooooooooooooooooo good. All of the I-Team books I've read are really, really good!

message 1099: by Mollie *scoutrmom* (new)

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments There is no continuity between Skin Game and Skin Tight, folks can read them in any order. Great suspense story, I'm about 3/4 done and loving it.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Mollie, thank you for that information! I wasn't sure since Foster and... what's her name from book 1 are in there.
