a.g.e. montagner (agem) | 667 comments Looks good. I'll be in for Solaris and Zodiac, which is a good number that should leave space for other things (cough power points cough).

Cheryl L | 415 comments Wow! I'll be in for all of the top 6 and 2 of the runner ups.

message 155: by CJ (new)

CJ | 533 comments I'm only interested in Doomsday Book from that top 6, and The Algebraist and The Calculating Stars from the rest. Which is fine for me.

message 156: by CBRetriever (new)

CBRetriever | 6111 comments Zodiac and the Blade Itself I've read
Doomsday I haven't read in Kindle format so I'll read this one plus I'm using it for a reading challenge
Lions of Al-Rassan is in my TBR pile
and I found the movie version of Solaris so boring I'm not sure I want to read that one unless it gets really cheap

A few I'm interested in:
Babel-17; Fahrenheit 451; The Fox Wife; The Ghost Bride; The Mere Wife (what is it with wives & brides?); Piranesi; The Raven Tower.

message 176: by DivaDiane (new)

DivaDiane SM | 3676 comments I have marked all the ones that I own or have easy access to and am interested, but that is dozens! Also I’m inherently bad at actually reading them when they come up! But if, when we get closer to the deadline, there are other books that people would really like to read, I am not above voting for them!

Maybe one day I will learn to focus on these “rereads”!

message 177: by CJ (last edited Aug 11, 2025 08:00AM) (new)

CJ | 533 comments It feels like we just had Babel-17 for the BotM. Wouldn't mind a reread, even if I'm thinking I'll never be much of a Delaney fan. Wouldn't mind a reread of Fahrenheit 451 even though I've reread it so many times I could probably do an interpretative dance of the whole story by now.

I'd love for one of the Iain M Banks to make the top 6. Oh, and Semiosis by Sue Burke.

message 178: by April (new)

April | 15 comments CbRetriever,
Oh ok.

A.g.e. montagner,
I was planning to read ghost bride next month

Oh and alao Fahrenheit 451!

message 179: by a.g.e. montagner (last edited Aug 11, 2025 10:24AM) (new)

a.g.e. montagner (agem) | 667 comments True, we've had Babel-17 recently.
Personally I wouldn't mind a reread as a springboard to more Delany.

message 180: by Anna (new)

Anna (vegfic) | 10434 comments Why is it on the list if it was a recent reread?

message 181: by CBRetriever (new)

CBRetriever | 6111 comments Anna wrote: "Why is it on the list if it was a recent reread?"

Books that have been read by the group (main or reread) in the 24 months prior to the scheduled period will not be eligible, and will not be listed on the form

message 182: by Melanie, the neutral party (new)

I made an error in creating the form. It is fixed now.
If you voted already, you will have to vote again.

message 184: by Ellen (last edited Aug 12, 2025 03:02PM) (new)

Ellen | 856 comments A Night in the Lonesome October by Roger Zelazny is a great group read for October and count down to Halloween. It has 31 chapters meant to be read one a day (most of them pretty short) starting Oct 1.
Really enjoyed reading it with this group previously.

It is better to view the results on the public spreadsheet. IDK how Google generates those percentages.

For those at the top of the voting list, I'd vote for Fahrenheit 451
