DivaDiane SM | 3676 comments I voted for Tigana and RemPop too.

It doesn’t look like The Outside is in the running any longer.

RemPop! RemPop! RemPop!

message 203: by Meredith (new)

Meredith | 1776 comments I voted for The Outside , I’ve wanted to read that for a while.

message 204: by Kaia (new)

Kaia | 662 comments I added The Outside and RemPop to my votes. If anyone is interested in adding Semiosis to their votes, I was hoping that would make it in the top 6 and would appreciate the boost!

CJ | 533 comments For reasons unknown to me, my previous ballot seems to have been erased. I voted the day the poll went live, was one of the first, so is it possible that there were some changes to the voting process since then that could have caused that? Anyhow I filled out the ballot again, as there's no previous ballot linked to my account for me to edit. Hope that is OK.

CJ, there were some books on the first poll that weren't supposed to be there, so one of the mods had to make corrections and re-open it. That erased the few early ballots, so it's good that you voted again.

Melanie messed it up. I own that mistake. If you are one of the first 11 people to vote, you need to vote again.

DivaDiane SM | 3676 comments I had already voted for A Night in the Lonesome October, so I can't influence that. I'd love to read it again with the group. I'm fairly sure I wouldn't manage to read The Sword of Kaigen - it's so long!

There is no limit. I try to pick a reasonable number of books that I would be interested in reading / rereading in the next few months, or ones that are on my TBR list that I need some motivation to read.

Edited to add: I’ll often make adjustments based on the top choices or books that others are really interested in reading, too.

DivaDiane SM | 3676 comments Thank you, Kaia!

Joseph, I have a whole bunch of the bookshelf books already in my collection waiting patiently to be read. I’d say I vote for about 20 or so books each time and hope that one or 2 of them gets voted into the schedule and then I hope that I have time to fit them in. LOL

message 226: by Bonnie (new)

Bonnie | 1279 comments Like Diane I own a bunch of them already, or can get them pretty easily at the library.

I vote for all titles that I haven't read yet.

Except sometimes I skip 1Q84 bc its length seems daunting, and I suspect I won't like it.

And sometimes I'll toss in a vote for one I know is really good and someone requests it and I might re-read it (e.g. Grass or The Sparrow).

the Kingfisher book is cheap now at $3.99 in Kindle version so I'll go vote for that - it's a retelling of a fairy tale

I feel we *need* A Night in the Lonesome October in October.

I like Raven and the Reigndeer in December because the book is quite wintery.

My school play is before Halloween this year, so I can't volunteer to do this. I'm likely to go dark for a few weeks in October.
