When You're Not Reading a Cozy

I also finished the audio version of this non-cozy this week:
Past Crimes by Glen Erik Hamilton https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm into thrillers right now, and I'm reading Poison Orchids by Sarah A. Denzil.I'm also trying to get through Lisa Scottoline's Someone Knowes, but it isn't really keeping my attention.
Finished Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie yesterday afternoon, then started the new Nora Roberts, Hideaway, out in May, before bed (I won an ARC from GR). I should know better than to start some authors before bed. I had to force myself to put it down when I realized it was 1 am, and I had to be up in six hours. Otherwise I probably would have read all night. Darn day job!

Read a cute YA ARC The Mall which takes place in the 70s but as a 60s teen I still enjoyed it. Then I listened to The Testaments which I feel was not as good as The Handmaid's Tale. Also listened to The Tattooist of Auschwitz and wow. Finally pulled one off my TBR shelf The Mallen Girl which is the second in a trilogy and I liked it more than the The Mallen Streak. Last book finished was an ARC of The Operator which I loved. Now I'm reading another ARC More Than Words which is a romance.
The Duke by Kerrigan Byrne 4-StarsDefinitely not your fluffy Historical Romance Series

Midway through
Obssession in Death, #40 in series. Incredibly #50 has come out! She is unbelievable and continues to be so good.
We were just discussing this series in another group Meg. A friend of mine has almost finished re reading the whole series, and is right up to date :)

Great review Brenda. Excellent series! I’ve read the first 2 in this series & am eagerly waiting for our library to get the 3rd book.

This sounds terrific Brenda.....I’ve added it to my list 😉
Brenda— So far the new Nora is good. Unfortunately, due to not being home all weekend, I’ve not had much time to read, and have only made it past the first section (120 pages). Next couple days aren’t looking much better. 😐

My review for
Midwife On The Orient Express: A Christmas Miracle by Fiona McArthurhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished The Dirty South by John Connolly. This is the first time I've read one of his books and it probably won't be the last.
Brenda wrote: "We were just discussing this series in another group Meg. A friend of mine has almost finished re reading the whole series, and is right up to date :)"Lucky friend! Funny, I was just wondering the other day if I would ever have time to re-read the whole series. I would so love to. I've read the first three maybe three times but that was way in the past. Maybe someday I can get to it!

I think the same Meg... one day when I have no more books to read ;)
WHEN I AM NOT READING A COZY, I LIKE OTHER SUSPENSE/ MYSTERY BOOKS WITH AUTHORS SUCH AS IRIS JOHANSEN HER EVE DUNCAN BOOKS, LUSA JACKSON, ALEX KAVA, SANDRA BROWN, MARY HIGGINS-CLARK, J.D. ROBB, BRENDA NOVAK.
I finished reading The Unhoneymooners which was an adorable LOL Rom/Com. Now I'm reading the far more serious Universe of Two: A Novel which so far is very good.
Homeport by Nora Roberts 5-StarsFantastic oldie romantic-suspense

Meant to post last Thursday that I (finally) finished Hideaway by Nora Roberts. Some parts were a little predictable, but there was a major twist in the first quarter I didn’t see coming. Overall a good read, and one I enjoyed.
I seem to be on a non-cozy roll these days. Finished the three listed above and now on
The Vanishing

It will be my first Nora Roberts.
