The Tales of the City books are some of my favorites. Did someone here compare your books to those. Why would they do that?

I'm also trying to get through Lisa Scottoline's Someone Knowes, but it isn't really keeping my attention.

Finished Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie yesterday afternoon, then started the new Nora Roberts, Hideaway, out in May, before bed (I won an ARC from GR). I should know better than to start some authors before bed. I had to force myself to put it down when I realized it was 1 am, and I had to be up in six hours. Otherwise I probably would have read all night. Darn day job!

Karen M | 1436 comments Read a cute YA ARC The Mall which takes place in the 70s but as a 60s teen I still enjoyed it. Then I listened to The Testaments which I feel was not as good as The Handmaid's Tale. Also listened to The Tattooist of Auschwitz and wow. Finally pulled one off my TBR shelf The Mallen Girl which is the second in a trilogy and I liked it more than the The Mallen Streak. Last book finished was an ARC of The Operator which I loved. Now I'm reading another ARC More Than Words which is a romance.

Brenda— So far the new Nora is good. Unfortunately, due to not being home all weekend, I’ve not had much time to read, and have only made it past the first section (120 pages). Next couple days aren’t looking much better. 😐

Bad luck - life gets in the way, but when you have some time it's good to know it's there waiting :) I'd love to know your thoughts when you're finished :)

Lucky friend! Funny, I was just wondering the other day if I would ever have time to re-read the whole series. I would so love to. I've read the first three maybe three times but that was way in the past. Maybe someday I can get to it!

Meant to post last Thursday that I (finally) finished Hideaway by Nora Roberts. Some parts were a little predictable, but there was a major twist in the first quarter I didn’t see coming. Overall a good read, and one I enjoyed.

It's sitting with a few other ARCs on my dining room table waiting to be read. It will be my first Nora Roberts.
