Finished listening to both The Call of the Wild and The Enchanted Hour: The Miraculous Power of Reading Aloud in the Age of Distraction.Tonight I'm starting Argo: How the CIA & Hollywood Pulled Off the Most Audacious Rescue in History and very much looking forward to it.
I am reading
by Simone St. James. I know it gets good reviews but I think it is too dark for me during these bleak times
Finished The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho this afternoon. Lyrical prose. I seem to have read a lot of “A” books this season. I need different vowels, LOL!
Current non-cozy reads:
All Systems Red by Martha Wells Murderbot #1
Imager by L.E. Modesitt Jr. Imager #1
Over the Edge by Jonathan Kellerman Alex Delaware #3
My review for
Rotto! Hunters of the Silver Plate by Jonathan Macphersonhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Have just finished The Mother-Daughter Book Club by Heather Vogel Frederick, middle grade/young adult novel about four very different girls and the book club their parents drag them into. It’s a good start to what has become a popular series.
Currently listening to
Chasing the Dollar by Ellie Ashe. I've had this on my TBR for quite awhile. So far I'm really into it.
Right now I'm reading
Tales of a Wayside Inn by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. It's a bit of a change for me but very enjoyable.
Here's a middle grade mystery I read this week. If you haven't found Stuart Gibbs yet, you need to do so. And then pass the books on to a kid you might know.
Tyrannosaurus Wrecks by Stuart Gibbs https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My review for
The Forces' Sweethearts by Rosie Archer (which was due to be published on 30th April and I didn't see until after I'd finished reading, that it's been changed to 6th August.) https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
My review for
The Strangeworlds Travel Agency by L.D. Lapinskihttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm almost finished Cusp of Night
byMae Clair I really like it so far it has that touch of mystery, paranormal, romance , maybe even fantasy.
Just started reading Rose Madder
by Stephen King Its been years since I have read a Steven King book.
Finished The Mayor of Casterbridge Friday and quite enjoyed it. Have now started a reread of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

I've been listening to The Alchemist and The Screwtape Letters since both are short. Coming off two long audios I guess influenced my choices.
My review for
Nobody Will Tell You This But Me: A True (As Told to Me) Story by Bess Kalbhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
