30.2 Jonquil’s Task: It looked different the last time I was here…

Book 1: Read a book set predominantly (at least 80%) in one community during one season of the year: spring, summer, fall or winter.

The Spirit Woman, Margaret Coel
Set in Autumn/Fall (starting date “It was November. The twelfth month in the Arapaho Way, the Moon when the Rivers Start to Freeze.” - duration three weeks), Northern hemisphere dates.

Book 2: Read a book set in the same community set during a different season of the year.

The Shadow Dancer, Margaret Coel
Set in late-Spring (starting date “It was the last Monday in May, the Moon When the Ponies Shed their Shaggy Hair.”- duration four days, with an epilogue one week later), Northern hemisphere dates.

Both books are set around the Arapaho and Shoshone communities on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming, which was confirmed as an acceptable community in message #23 of the task help thread.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two - JK Rowling

This book is not found on AR Bookfinder but (intermittently) has MPG "Childrens"

50.1 - Pamela3265's task: Summer Reading Fun

Option A: Read a book with a main page genre from the following list: Business, Christian, Classics, Fantasy, History or Historical Fiction, Religion, Romance, Science Fiction or Self-Help.

The Song of Achilles - Madeline Miller

Fantasy, Historical Fiction and Romance are MPGs

Option D: I’ve also been able to re-read some old favorites. With some of these books, I’ve found that my opinion of the book has changed. For this option, read a book that you have read previously and rated three stars or more.

Lady Chatterley's Lover - DH Lawrence

Originally read in (I think) 2006, and given 4 stars when I first added it to Goodreads. My rating remains the same for the moment, though 23 year old me had a very different experience of reading the book than 12/13 year old me did!

**First published in 1928, one Golden Oldie ticket claimed**

Option F: Since reading is fun for all of us or we wouldn’t be participating in the challenge, read any book of your choice.

25.10 - M1nks's task: Give Me Some Reds, Give Me Some Blues, Give Me Some... What the heck is THAT supposed to be!?

Option 2: For this task, choose a painting from: Famous Abstract Art. Read a book with a title which you think would make a good name for the painting.

As Death Draws Near by Anna Lee Huber

I choose 1957-D No 1 by Clyfford Still, as on the picture it seems like there is a bright and friendly yellow background but something dark and inenvitable is coming near and blocking out the brightness, like death does sooner or later.

I admit it's the only of these paintings that really speak to me in a way.

Option 3: Read a book with the "Dystopia" or "Magical Realism" as a main-page genre.

Archivist Wasp by Nicole Kornher-Stace

Dystopia is one of the Genres on the main page.
