ROFLOL This has to be the BEST answer I've read so far!! Now, Robin, tell us how you REALLY feel :)

I'm the same way, Teresa, which is one reason I try to get a copy of our new releases *before everybody else does. I want to read it and form my own opinion before everyone else jumps on the bandwagon :)

Add me to that list as well. Actually, I think most readers are moody readers, if we're honest with ourselves :)

I wouldn't pick a book up if I didn't like the cover but on my kindle, the cover doesn't make so much of a difference. However, a good cover will catch my eye on Amazon and the opposite is true.

LOL glad you got a laugh out of that one Teresa!!! I would love to just rip her a new......ummmm.....well you know....BADORKAS!!!!Such a bad bad role model for the young adult females of our society to idolize. You are much more lenient on her than I would be by just slapping her LMBO

I picked up The Book Thief a couple of years ago when my youngest son had to read it in school. He talked me into it telling me what a good book it was. This was long before I was a member of GR and saw all the hype about it. It was a DNF for me simply because I thought the use of Death as a narrator was utterly ridiculous. I loathe repetition in a book and this is exactly what was executed...death telling me what was going to happen and then I had to read it again when it did happen or reading something that happened and Death re-telling it for me. Instant replays are fine in some cases but not in books LOL

I am a very moody reader also Steven. Sometimes certain things just irritate the doo-doo out of me and other times it doesn't. But I think a lot of it depends on my mood as well as whether other aspects of the book are good or bad.

◈ Mini-Challenge #14: Book Chain

While smoking their stash of pipe weed (adult Hobbits only!), co-captains of Hobbit Team (aka Cerulean) came with great idea for RaT mini-challenge.

The way they explained it, as best they could, follows. :D

It's book chain.

One of the Captains (or Mods) post a book/cover; next one has to match it by author's first/last name; or word in title; or something on the cover, and so on.

Example:
First person, Hobbit Turtlecollector, posts: Confessions of a Murder Suspect by James Patterson Confessions of a Murder Suspect, James Patterson

The next person, could post:
The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner The Maze Runner, by James Dashner (because of author's name)

or...
Requiem (Delirium, #3) by Lauren Oliver Requiem, by Lauren Oliver (because of girl on cover)

or...
Confessions of a Shopaholic (Shopaholic, #1) by Sophie Kinsella Confessions of a Shopaholic, by Sophie Kinsella (because of the word "confessions" in the title)
Suggested by Team Cerulean (AKA "Hobbit Blue")
